The company recently announced the launch of a series of Ezviz branded products on to the local market. And one such device was the Ezviz C6N Smart WiFi Security Camera.

This one is a 360⁰ Panoramic Pan Tilt camera with motion tracking. The camera offers auto day and night vision by using two high powered infrared lamps to view upto 10 meters or 33 feet, clearly in the dark. The Ezviz C6N also offers a horizontal panoramic view of up to 340° and up to 55° verticaly, thereby offering a 360° visual coverage.

The footage captured by the C6N is offered in resolutions of either 1080p or 720p. You also get pan and tilt control with digital zoom and smart motion tracking. With the Pan and Tilt control, you have greater flexibility to place the C6N, including a flexible installation kit for indoor ceiling mounting. In addition, you can also place it on a table or a book shelf to monitor the happenings in your home, when you are not around.

Inside the box, you get the C6N camera unit, a base, a drill template, a screw kit, a quick start guide, a power adapter and a power cable. Installation and setup is fussfree. All you need to do is, download the Ezviz app from Google Play or App Store and create an account. Next, follow the intuitive setup steps in the app. Make sure your smartphone or tablet is connected on the same network as the camera.

Through the app, you can stay connected with your camera when you are not home. You can also receive motion alerts on your phone to keep track of what’s happening, take photos and record footage any time you want with the Ezviz app, which can then be stored onto your smartphone’s or tablet’s stroage. In addition, you can also store the footage on to the Ezviz Cloud service, though it is only available in select countries.

The Ezviz C6N also comes with a MicroSD card slot just below the lenses, which can take in cards of up to a storage capacity of 256GB. This storage space is used to save captured footages locally. If you have multiple such cameras in your home or office, you can add all of them into the same app under your user dashboard.

The camera also comes with two-way talk which allows you to speak to guests outside your home’s door even when you are not home. In addition, there’s also a Sleep Mode for privacy protection. And when it detects a moving object, the C6N automatically tracks its motion while alerting you with an image in real-time.

During our review period, the device worked really well. We got notifications whenever there was a movement along with pictures sent to the app directly. We could also monitor the happenings inside the house whenever we were away.

We did not encounter any lag in accessing the camera or viewing the footage in real-time. The Ezviz 36N is priced at AED 119. For that price, the Ezviz C6N is truly value for money and is a great security camera for those looking for peace of mind, when they are away from their homes.

EZVIZ Intros C3N Outdoor Security Camera in the Middle East

Published

on

EZVIZ has announced today the availability of its C3N camera in the Middle East region, an addition to its colour night vision camera range. The C3N intelligently protects exterior areas around your property day and night with 1080p video, real-time person detection, and three night-monitoring modes. It makes it the ideal addition to a villa, apartment block or office as the C3N camera provides property owners with real-time images of their outdoor property and sends motion-triggered notifications when they are at home or away.

The C3N provides users with colorful details that are traditionally unavailable with other night vision products, such as the color of cars passing by. With advanced PQ (Perceptual Quantizer) technology, night-time images are even sharper—no more overexposure and loss of details as the image brightness is adjusted dynamically.

The C3N camera’s two built-in spotlights are versatile. Users can leave them on all night to illuminate dark areas, turn them off to enjoy privacy, or even flash them to warn trespassers. The spotlights also make three night-vision modes a reality: color mode when the lights are on, black-and-white mode when the lights are off, and smart mode, which automatically turns the spotlights on for 90 seconds when it detects people.

“We’re working to make the color night vision and basic AI person-detection capability available on the majority of our outdoor cameras,” said Jobs Cheung, global product manager of EZVIZ. “With C3N, customers will find that those technologies that used to be exclusive to professional equipment are becoming accessible and affordable and that they too can enjoy professional protection at home.”

With an IP67 design to withstand all weather and two external antennas to boost Wi-Fi connection, the C3N camera delivers long-lasting and reliable protection. Thanks to H.265 video compression technology, the C3N reduces the required storage space by 50% while rendering very impressive image quality.

The C3N camera is priced at AED 250. We have received a sample unit from the company. So stay tuned for the review!
