Review: Corsair K70 RGB TKL Champion Series Mechanical Gaming Keyboard

Corsair’s K70 RGB TKL Champion Series Mechanical Gaming Keyboard is an excellent gaming keyboard that comes in a tenkeyless form factor. For those uninitiated, Tenkeyless is a term used to describe keyboards that do not have a 10-key numeric keypad on the right side.

The tenkeyless design is absolutely amazing for gaming, doing away with the Numpad. This in turn gives your mouse a lot more room to maneuver, since you usually get little use out of a Numpad in most gaming situations. The reduction in size also means a reduction in weight, making it easier to lug your mechanical keyboard around.

Inside the box, you get the Corsair K70 RGB TKL Champion Series Mechanical Gaming Keyboard, along with a detachable braided USB Type-C cable to power the keyboard up. You also get a bunch of keycaps and a keycap puller for FPS and MOBA games, the warranty info, and the quick start guide.

The keyboard also comes with a “Tournament Switch”, just next to the USB Type-C, which when flicked, makes the keyboard competition ready. What this means is that it changes the backlighting on the K70 RGB TKL to a single static colour for less distraction and disables custom actions and macros.

Various profiles on the keyboard can be customised using Corsair’s iCUE software. And when you are lugging the keyboard around for gaming tournaments, you can use the profile button on the keyboard to cycle through various saved profiles on the keyboard. You can also choose between various backlighting effects by using the Function key on the keyboard and pressing the button from 1 to 0.

However, using Corsair’s iCUE software allows you to unlock settings such as dynamic lighting, macros, key assignments, and lots more. On the top left corner of the keyboard, you get the media keys, while on the top right-hand corner, you get the profile key, the brightness key, and the Windows lock key, along with the mute button and the volume scroll wheel.

The keyboard is very well built and the design is top-notch. You get a sort of a brushed metal look up top, while the keys themselves are quite nice. Underneath the keyboard, you get the anti-slip pads and the flip-out keyboard legs. In terms of polling rates, at default, the keyboard is at 1000Hz. However, if speed is what you need, you can change it to 8000Hz using the iCUE software.

Using the Corsair K70 RGB TKL for games such as Call of Duty and Elder Scrolls Online was mind-blowing. The sheer performance and comfort this keyboard offers are insane. And since it is a mechanical keyboard, typing on it felt, sort of, an out-of-the-world experience.

The key switches used in the Corsair K70 RGB TKL variant we tested, are Cherry MX Switch RGB, which felt very satisfying to type on! The keyboard also comes with 8MB of built-in storage which allows you to store up to, wait for it… 50 (!!) profiles. You can customise lots of options on the keyboard using the iCUE software.

Gaming experience using the Corsair K70 RGB TKL was excellent. The keyboard is quite fluid and responsive throughout. If you are a hardcore gamer and need a dependable keyboard to take out your competition, the Corsair K70 RGB TKL Champion Series Mechanical Gaming Keyboard comes across as highly recommended.

The 16-inch model (SFX16-52G) features 12th Gen Intel Core processors with up to 12 cores (4 P-cores and 8 E-cores) and discrete Intel Arc graphics. Keeping the laptop cool are dual fans, dual copper heat pipes, an air inlet keyboard, and a bigger side exhaust port. Both models run on Windows 11 and feature a 16:10 aspect-ratio IPS screen—2240×1400 for the 14-in model and up to 2560×1600 (WQXGA) for the 16-in model—with stunningly narrow bezels, allowing for up to a 92.22% screen-to-body ratio. From there, the laptops’ I/O includes two Type-C ports with Thunderbolt 4 (up to 40 GBs) support, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, HDMI 2.0, and a fingerprint reader for easy login with Windows Hello. The production capacity of both models is further enhanced by an FHD webcam with Acer’s Temporal Noise Reduction (TNR) technology for high-quality imagery even in low-light conditions, Acer PurifiedVoice with AI Noise Reduction for clearer com-calls, and DTS audio.

Acer Aspire C27 and C24
For enhanced performance when working from home, the Aspire C27 (27-inch, C27-1751) and C24 (24-inch, C24-1750) All-In-One (AIO) PCs have been refreshed with Windows 11 and up to the latest 12th Gen Intel Core i7 processors, the latest NVIDIA GeForce MX550 GPU and 64 GB of DDR4 RAM, plus a 1 TB SSD and 2 TB HDD. From there, a host of connectivity options backs up this powerful hardware, such as Wi-Fi 6E for fast and stable connectivity, Bluetooth 5.2 for simplified data-sharing between devices, and Thunderbolt 4 for up to 40 Gbps of bidirectional bandwidth.

Video calling has never been more important especially with flexible working nowadays, and the Aspire C27 responds to this need with a 5.0 MP webcam and two stereo microphones for high-quality video conferencing—and with a 91.14% screen-to-body ratio, the display looks gorgeous. It can also be tilted (-5 to 25°), allowing users to find the perfect angle before getting started. Acer BlueLightShield technology provides more comfortable viewing, and once the call is over, a physical webcam cover provides privacy and peace of mind.

As a final touch, this ultra-slim AIO delivers tidy and space-saving for cable management, keeping the workspace free from distraction—and being finished in black with platinum details, the Aspire C27 and Aspire C24 look incredibly sharp, too. Legion Arena
Whether you’re a diehard gamer or a casual one, you likely are deploying multiple apps to optimize your gaming experience. From the actual games available across platforms, to the apps that enable benchmarking, performance tuning and gamer interaction, it can be a lot to manage. Switching between these different apps to find and customize what and how you play can add unwanted complexity and waste precious time. To get gamers back into the game faster, Lenovo is launching Legion Arena, a gaming library that links to popular platforms and online stores to consolidate all of your purchased PC games into one easy to find, centralized hub.

When stepping into Legion Arena, gamers can easily search games by title or by those that were recently played, launching or installing the game directly from the app. Users can also see a list of the top games played by other Legion gamers, click-to-purchase new games not owned, and earn rewards and game play-driven achievements. It’s gaming simplified.

CO2 Offset Service for Legion Users
Speaking of simplifying processes, Lenovo is introducing a simple and transparent way for Legion users to give something back to the environment. The Lenovo CO2 Offset Service, previously only available on Lenovo commercial devices, enables gamers to easily offset the carbon emissions associated with their purchased device over its average lifecycle with just a click of a button. Based on the cost of those emissions, which the user pays for at the time of purchase when opting in, a contribution is made to one of several different United Nations Climate Action projects, including those that help to improve renewable energy, reduce air pollution, or enhance safe waste disposal. For Legion users that are interested in fighting climate change, the Lenovo CO2 Offset Service gives them an opportunity to compensate for the environmental impact of their purchased device.

If you have the need for speed, the lightning-fast 240Hz refresh rate of the new Lenovo Legion Y25-30 Monitor could be your ticket to the big leagues. Bringing 99 percent sRGB color gamut with Delta E<2 color accuracy, its mid-size 24.5-inch Full HD In-Plane Switching (IPS) panel helps players keep their concentration as they catch every detail on a gaming monitor certified by VESA DisplayHDR 400 for a more vivid viewing experience.

While competitive gamers benefit the most from this monitor’s smart variable refresh rate (VRR) technology capable of delivering a more professional experience, its high color performance plus integrated 2 x 3W speakers means it also works great for graphic design, video editing, browsing or multitasking, as well as for enjoying entertainment and streaming content in high-definition. Built to help deliver more wins and a smoother gaming experience free of screen tearing or stuttering, the monitor comes equipped with AMD FreeSync Premium12 to enhance gameplay further, and to capture big moments when streaming, the Legion Y25-30 supports our high-quality modular camera.9 Eliminate streaking and ghosting with a 0.5ms moving picture response time (MPRT)13 and 1ms extreme response time for even more accuracy.

The powerfully sleek design of this ergonomic stand features textured detailing on the back and a pop of color inside the cable management cutout giving it a vibe that’s distinctly cool and unmistakably Lenovo Legion. To help protect gamers from dry eye after long battle sessions, Lenovo’s gaming monitors have built-in natural low blue light technology to provide a superior viewing experience without eye strain or color distortion – the Legion Y25-30, as well as the new entry-level Lenovo G27qe-20 and Lenovo G24qe-20, are all certified by Eyesafe.

Designed for casual gamers of all walks of life, the Lenovo G-series monitors deliver uncompromised gaming monitor performance with a 1m MPRT response time for social players and young professionals alike while balancing their at-home learning, working, (and when there’s spare time) gaming needs too. When it comes to playing games or watching action movies, it is hard to beat an up to 100Hz refresh rate for the price with up to 110Hz overclock refresh rate on both monitors to help eliminate streaking and ghosting. Simply tilt to adjust the monitor to a more comfortable position, and to adjust your control display attributes or customize color settings for specific games – enjoy Lenovo Artery’s simple graphical interface for a better user experience.
