Here’s a Look at Google’s Redesigned At a Glance

Published

on

Google is rolling out a redesigned “At a Glance” widget for the Pixel Launcher, internally referred to as “Gemini Space.” This update will transform the current plain text display into a more interactive and visually rich interface.

Source: Android Authority

The “At a Glance” widget currently provides contextual information from 19 categories, such as Doorbell, Weather, Fitness, and Alerts. The upcoming “Gemini Space” redesign is comparable to Samsung’s “Now Bar” and will appear across the home screen, lock screen, and Always on Display.

Discovered in the latest Android Canary build, “Gemini Space” will use “info from your phone and your activity in Google products” to highlight relevant information. This includes timely and relevant details like live sports scores and birthday reminders, presented in a swipeable layout. Users will be able to customize “the types of updates and info that At a Glance shows” through its settings.

When fully available, it is expected to include options for relevant financial information, paired with the “Daily Hub.” The “Daily Hub” is described as a “space for content and suggestions to simplify your day,” similar to Samsung’s “Now Brief,” which offers AI-powered personalized content briefings. Both the Finance feature and “Daily Hub” are still under development. The redesigned “At a Glance” UI is anticipated to debut with the Pixel 10 series.
