ASUS Refreshes its ZenBook and VivoBook Range of Products at Computex 2017
Reporting from Taipei, Taiwan: ASUS Chairman Jonney Shih took the stage at today’s Computex 2017 press event to present the company’s refreshed range of ZenBook and VivoBook laptops, reassuring the audience that their products are incredible. The products showcased today include the ZenBook Flip S (UX370), the ZenBook 3 Deluxe (UX490), ZenBook Pro (UX550), the VivoBook S15, and the VivoBook Pro 15.
The new devices launched today come packed with support for many new Windows 10 features. These include Windows Ink, Windows Hello, Cortana and Modern Standby. Speaking at the launch event, Shih said, “Today is all about our relentless effort in striving toward perfection. Our brand-new ZenBook and VivoBook line-up truly goes to the edge of beyond, providing everyone with a new definition of thin, beautiful and powerful laptops.”
Shih was joined on stage by Gregory Bryant, Intel’s Corporate Vice President of Client Computing Group, who said, “ASUS has been at the forefront of delivering new technology and experiences for many years. Its stunning line-up of new ZenBook and VivoBook PCs, all powered by 7th Generation Intel Core processors, give people a choice of thin-and-light PCs that merge high performance with style.”
ASUS ZenBook Flip S (UX370)
The ASUS ZenBook Flip S is the winner of a Computex 2017 d&i Awards. According to ASUS, it is the world’s thinnest convertible laptop. The product comes with 360°-flippable display, measures only 10.9mm in thickness and weighs just 1.1-kgs.
The ZenBook Flip S features Windows 10 and is powered by up to a 7th Generation Intel Core i7-7500U processor and an ultrafast 1TB PCIe SSD. To keep the ZenBook Flip S cool, ASUS engineers have invented a brand-new cooling system that includes a liquid-crystal-polymer fan impeller that’s just 0.3mm thin.
The laptop also comes with a 4K UHD multitouch NanoEdge display that supports an active stylus. The ZenBook Flip S also includes a laptop fingerprint sensor — measuring just 16 x 3.6mm — for instant one-touch login via Windows Hello in either laptop or tablet mode. The pricing starts at $1099.
ASUS ZenBook Pro (UX550)
ASUS ZenBook Pro is also a winner of a Computex 2017 Best Choice Awards. The laptop packs in a 7th Generation Intel Core i7-7700HQ quad-core processor, NVIDIA GeForce GTX1050 Ti graphics, a 1TB PCIe x4 SSD and 16GB DDR4 RAM. According to ASUS, the UX550 also features day-long battery life of up to 14 hours.
ZenBook Pro comes packed with a 15.6-inch 4K UHD NanoEdge display for an expanded view and quad-speaker Harman Kardon surround-sound audio. It also features Windows 10 and is also equipped with a fingerprint sensor for quick and secure one-touch login with Windows Hello.
The new ZenBook Pro comes in an all-aluminum unibody that’s just 18.9mm thin and 1.8 kg light. The NanoEdge display has a slim 7.3mm bezel that enhances the beauty of ZenBook Pro while minimizing its overall dimensions. The pricing starts at $1299.
ASUS ZenBook 3 Deluxe (UX490)
The ASUS ZenBook 3 Deluxe is a winner of a Computex 2017 d&i Awards. It measures 12.9mm in thickness and weighs 1.1 kg. The entire 14-inch laptop is built into a 13-inch-class chassis. It features a 14-inch NanoEdge ultranarrow-bezel display.
The ZenBook 3 Deluxe laptop features the 7th Generation Intel Core i7-7500U processor, up to 16GB of 2133MHz LPDDR3 RAM, and a 1TB PCI Express (PCIe) SSD. It also accompanies two USB Type-C (USB-C) ports that are Thunderbolt 3-enabled with support for 40Gbps data transfers, dual 4K UHD external displays and power delivery. ZenBook 3 Deluxe comes with Windows 10 and is also equipped with a fingerprint sensor for easy one-touch login with Windows Hello. The pricing starts at $1199.
ASUS VivoBook Pro 15 (N580)
The ASUS VivoBook Pro 15 is a slim and lightweight 15.6-inch Windows 10 laptop powered by a 7th Generation Intel Core i7-7700HQ quad-core processor with up to 16GB DDR4 RAM and gaming-grade NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 graphics. VivoBook Pro 15 features hybrid storage and can be specified with up to a 2TB HDD and a 512GB SSD. An intelligent dual-fan cooling system with a dual-copper thermal module and heat pipes ensures the system stays cool during intense gaming sessions or under heavy loads.
VivoBook Pro 15 has a 4K UHD (3840 x 2160) display with wide-view technology and a wide 100 percent sRGB color gamut. It features Harman Kardon-certified audio, including twin speakers with large 8cc audio chambers and smart-amplifier technology for 3.2X louder volume. VivoBook Pro 15 has a fingerprint sensor for one-touch login via Windows Hello, and it features support for ASUS Pen. The pricing starts at $799.
ASUS VivoBook S15 (S510)
ASUS VivoBook S15 is the latest and most premium model in the VivoBook Series. This 15.6-inch slim and lightweight Windows 10 laptop is designed for those constantly on the go, with a 17.9mm profile and weighing just 1.5 kg. It features an Icicle Gold finish for a quality feel, and a NanoEdge display with a slim 7.8mm bezel that provides a larger display area for more immersive viewing.
This stylish laptop is powered by the latest 7th Generation Intel Core i7-7500U processor with up to 16GB DDR4 memory and NVIDIA GeForce 940MX graphics. The pricing starts at $499.
