MSI Upgrades its Super-Slim GS63VR with Nvidia GTX 1070 Graphics

Reporting from Taipei, Taiwan: At its press conference today, PC gaming giant MSI announced that it is upgrading its super-slim GS63VR with Nvidia GTX 1070 graphics to give gamers a performance advantage. The new GS63VR Stealth Pro also features a responsive 120Hz, 3ms HDR Display.

The laptop features a 0.69-inch (17.7mm) thickness, and MSI claims that the 15-inch GS63VR is the slimmest laptop on the market with this GPU and display type. The laptop also weighs just 1.9-kgs, which is quite impressive considering the GS63VR Stealth Pro is a performance powerhouse.

The new laptop also features MSI’s Cooler Boost Trinity technology, which boasts five different heat pipes and advanced “Whirlwind” fan blades to keep the laptop running smoothly. The laptop also features a non-mechanical SteelSeries keyboard with customizable backlighting. ESS Sabre audio promises high-quality sound.

The company also announced a new 17-inch GS73VR for those looking for a bigger viewing real estate. This one also features GTX 1070 graphics and 120Hz, 3ms HDR display. MSI has not yet released the weight or dimensions info about the GS73VR. No pricing info has also been released.

MediaTek CEO to Take Center Stage at COMPUTEX 2024 Keynote

TAITRA (Taiwan External Trade Development Council) has announced that Dr. Rick Tsai, Vice Chairman and CEO of MediaTek, will be a keynote speaker at COMPUTEX 2024 on June 4. Dr. Tsai will explore how the latest silicon advancements and connectivity standards are making AI ubiquitous.

COMPUTEX 2024 with the theme “Connecting AI,” is set to take place from June 4th to June 7th. The event will feature 1,500 exhibitors using 4,500 booths, showcasing six major themes: AI Computing, Advanced Connectivity, Future Mobility, Immersive Reality, Sustainability, and Innovations.

COMPUTEX 2023 Throws its Doors Open

The 2023 COMPUTEX and InnoVEX will be held from May 30, in Halls 1 and 2 of the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center. President Tsai Ing-wen, the Deputy Minister of Economic Affairs C.C. Chen, Deputy Director-General of the EU Growth Agency Maive Rute, James Huang, Chairman of Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), and Paul Peng, Chairman of the Taipei Computer Association (TCA), attended the opening ceremony of COMPUTEX.

This year is the first in-person COMPUTEX since the pandemic. President Tsai Ing-wen extends a warm welcome to participants from around the globe at COMPUTEX, the biggest ICT tradeshow in Asia. Renowned for its cutting-edge expertise in areas such as foundry, PCB, and satellite positioning, Taiwan aims to leverage this year’s tradeshow to enhance its global presence and foster stronger international collaborations. Moving forward, the government and local enterprises will continue to work hand in hand to cultivate a more resilient economy and industry, enabling Taiwan to wield a greater influence in the global supply chain.

James Huang, Chairman of TAITRA indicated, “As a leading global ICT and computing technology exhibition, COMPUTEX has witnessed major breakthroughs in the human technology industry for more than 40 years. COMPUTEX 2022 Kicks off on May 24 with Tech Giants

COMPUTEX 2022 is set to kick off from May 24 to 27 and will revolve around six major themes: Accelerating Intelligence, Connected X-Experience, Digital Resilience, Innovative Computing, Sustainability, and Innovations & Startups. COMPUTEX DigitalGO, a virtual tradeshow platform, also organized by TAITRA, will take place from May 24 to June 6.

Tech giants have expressed their support for participating in COMPUTEX 2022 Hybrid. Acer, AMD, ASUS, Delta, GIGABYTE, Micron Technology, MSI, NVIDIA, NXP, Supermicro will take part in this expo. As Senior Vice President of IDC, Matthew Eastwood shared IDC’s observation on top tech trends.
