ASUS Glamorfy Exhibits at InnoVEX 2017
Reporting from Taipei, Taiwan: In one of the latest reports, market research agency IDC has revealed that the global revenues from augmented (AR) and virtual reality (VR) will grow to more than $162 billion by 2020. The growth registers a CAGR of just over 181%.
It is expected that Apple will officially announce iPhone 8 with AR function, while Microsoft will release HDM+ MR Ready PC hardware platform. To provide the whole new shopping experience using AR technology, Alibaba’s Jack Ma frequently highlighted his new retail concept and Amazon launched Amazon Go convenience store with no checkout required.
Thus, ASUS Glamorfy has been developing augmented reality (AR) technology for several years. The company is exhibiting at InnoVEX 2017, a startup ecosystem event, which is running parallel to Computer 2017. The company highlighted the key functions of its AR technology.
ASUS Glamorfy’s AR technology offers real-time makeup simulation, virtual accessory try-on (glasses, jewelry, and shoes), and 3D based SLAM algorithm for industry 4.0. The solution offers real-time beautification and cosmetic simulation. It also offers real-time contact lens simulation.
In addition, Glamorfy allows users to virtually try out various glasses and sunglasses, before actually buying those products. In addition, users can also virtually try-on shoes before purchasing. It comes with VoIP functionality for online chatting, using Skype, LINE, and so on.

As of September 2024, Apple Mail dominates the global email market with a 53.67% share, while Gmail holds 30.70%, according to recent data. Outlook, Yahoo! Mail, and Google Android combined account for less than 10% of the market. If Musk introduces ‘Xmail,’ it could potentially disrupt the current market dynamics, leveraging his influence as the world’s richest man and US President-elect’s ‘First Buddy.’
Supporters are already rallying behind the idea. One user expressed their enthusiasm, stating, “I’d drop Gmail so damn fast,” reflecting frustration with Google’s dominance.
