The Infiniti Q60 Red Sport 400 Coupe is the coupe version of the Q50 sedan. The base model is a turbo 4-cylinder, then there are two turbo V6 engines available with either 300hp or 400hp. The Infiniti Q60 Red Sport is the more powerful version and puts the power to all four wheels through a 7-speed automatic transmission.
The Q60 is a premium sports coupe that takes some design cues from the company’s newer vehicles. The Q60 Red Sport 400 Coupe variant we received features some curvy muscular lines and comes packed with a 3.0-liter V6 twin-turbo engine. It offers 400 horsepower at 6,400rpm and 475Nm of torque at 1,750rpm.
The Q60 is an all wheel drive vehicle and comes packed with a bevy of hi-tech features such as Intelligent Cruise Control, Direct Adaptive Steering that constantly fine-tunes steering performance with up to a claimed 1,000 adjustments per second and an electronically controlled Dynamic Digital Suspension.
The vehicle also comes equipped with a suite of driver assistance and safety technologies, such as Forward Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection and Adaptive Lighting. Based on the Q60 2.0T, this one has more everything you would need – more power, more speed and more comfort.
It accompanies LED headlights, employing ‘light guide technology’ to spread light evenly on the road ahead. The Q60 also features the newly-designed 19-inch aluminum alloy wheels as standard. The Red Sport 400 come with wider wheels and tires at the rear for an aggressive stance and improved handling and grip.
The wheel gaps, which are the spaces between tires and wheel arches, are tighter than before. The second-generation of Infiniti’s Direct Adaptive Steering (DAS) is an advanced ‘steer-by-wire’ system that has undergone significant re-tuning to enhance steering feel and feedback without compromising comfort.
The Q60 driver can choose from seven personalised modes to customize steering performance according to their preferred driving style. Developed to work in tandem with DAS, an all-new electronic suspension system, Dynamic Digital Suspension (DDS), monitors the vehicle’s body roll, pitch and bounce rate to deliver a secure ride by further reducing unwanted steering feel and vibrations.
The Q60 includes safety technologies such as around view monitor, intelligent cruise control with distance control assist, lane departure prevention, blind spot intervention, moving object detections and lots more. In addition to these safety technologies, the Q60 includes other driver-assistive features such as the Adaptive Front Lighting System and Active Lane Control.
The Q60 is a great looking vehicle – it’s athletic and aggressive-looking, but at the same time, it’s got some curves to it. The front grille and the headlight makes it an excellent-looking vehicle. The interiors is also cohesive with the exterior. The materials used are top quality.
The central console on the dashboard is something that does not quite fit well with the overall look and feel of the Q60. The central console is divided into two parts – the upper part is used for navigation and the other half below it is used for as a menu control. Overall, I found the central console software to be a bit laggy.
The speaker system on this one is a Bose Performance Series Audio System with Advanced Staging Technology, Centerpoint 2.0 Surround, AudioPilot 2.0 Noise Compensation, and 13 speakers (featuring door-mounted metal/aluminum speaker grilles). Folding rear seats and a 341-litre boot mean it is relatively practical.
Driving around in the Q60 is actually kind of refreshing. The ride is butter smooth. The Infiniti Q60 Red Sport 400 has the proper performance chops, two-door luxury appointments, and stunningly fresh looks to win over many.

Nissan Shows Off All-Electric Ariya at Expo 2020
Nissan is moving towards sustainable mobility with the first regional showcase of its stunning all-electric Ariya crossover car that is targeted towards the mass market. The Japanese company unveiled its all-new electric vehicle on 14th October, 2021, at the Let’s Move event at Dubai Exhibition Centre, Expo 2020 Dubai. “As Expo 2020’s Official Automotive Partner, Nissan is strongly committed to championing more sustainable transportation,” the company said.
Thierry Sabbagh, Managing Director of Nissan Middle East, said, “It’s a really exciting moment for us as a brand because our partnership with Expo started three years ago and we have been a part of the entire development, whether it is of the site or also of all the plans that have been set. And today, the partnership between Expo and Nissan is very natural. Because today, when we look at the pillars of Expo, whether on Sustainability, on Mobility, and on Opportunity, I can tell you that Nissan’s strategy is very much based on that.”
Joni Paiva, Divisional Vice President of Nissan Motors, said, “When you align Nissan’s purpose to drive innovation to enrich people’s lives and you look at Expo 2020’s purpose [and theme], ‘Connecting Minds, Creating the Future’, these two visions align extremely well, especially when you use the subthemes of Expo 2020 of Sustainability, Opportunity, and Mobility.”
Sabbagh said that unlike other electric vehicles currently available on the market, the new Ariya is made to appeal to people of all backgrounds, rather than target a niche audience only. He added, “Nissan as a brand has always brought products to the market that have very high demand and have always really been very much the best when it comes to the technology, to the innovation. And definitely, this is part of our passion. When we bring products to the market, we want to ensure that people from different categories, and from different aspirations, are able to drive our product. And definitely, I don’t see a difference with the Nissan Ariya, once it is fully launched in the markets. I will definitely be convinced that this will be available and offered to customers with different needs and also different profile customers.”
“The Ariya will drive the beginning of the Nissan NEXT transformation journey, a forward-looking plan building on the brand’s reputation for innovation, craftsmanship, customer focus, and quality,” the company said.
