GMC’s completely redesigned 2019 Sierra lightweight pickup truck is now on sale across the Middle East. Available in Crew Cab body style, the all-new 2019 Sierra range comprises of six models that each make a commanding statement in design, capability and advanced connectivity.
The next-generation Sierra lineup sees the introduction of two new trims, to complement the Sierra, SLE, SLT and premium Denali models. Targeting customers with active lifestyles, the first-ever AT4 combines smart capability and innovative technologies with uncompromising off-road capability. The new Elevation model, available in the region for the first time, takes the qualities for which the Sierra is renowned, and wraps them in a sleek, sophisticated appearance.
Designed to meet the needs and preferences of discerning GMC customers, the all-new 2019 Sierra Crew Cabs come with 4WD, and a five-foot eight-inch box. Daniella D’Souza, Head of Brand, GMC Middle East, said: “After showcasing the new 2019 GMC Sierra at special events in the region, customers across the Middle East can now drive off in one themselves. Not only will they be able to enjoy the significant benefits provided by the completely re-designed 2019 Sierra, but, for the first time, they will also have six different versions to choose from.”
The all-new Sierra has been redesigned from the ground up and is larger in almost every dimension, including a longer wheelbase and longer crew cab body that offers about 8 centimeters more rear legroom than the previous model. Its powerful looks are built upon a prominent foundation of strong bodywork that incorporates chiseled fenders and a tall, powerful hood capped with a bigger and bolder grille than any preceding Sierra.
The 2019 Sierra’s powertrain configurations deliver the perfect blend of power and capability. Depending on model, there are either 4.3L V6, all-new 2.7-liter turbocharged or next generation 5.3-liter V-8 (with Dynamic Fuel Management system) engines; all mated to 8-speed automatic transmissions. A new version of the proven 6.2L V-8 engine will be available on the 2019 Sierra AT4 but standard on the Denali line up. Paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission, the 6.2L engine features stop/start technology and new Dynamic Fuel Management that enables the engine to operate on two to eight cylinders, depending on demand, to optimize power and efficiency.
The top-of-the-range Denali offers segment-first technologies such as the innovative MultiPro Tailgate and Rear Camera Mirror, along with exclusive chassis enhancements such as Adaptive Ride Control and premium signature design and interior elements.
Standing out with its unique look, driven by dark exterior finishes and modern detailing, the AT4 confidently delivers authentic off-road capability due to the raft of features that include a factory-installed 2-inch suspension lift for additional ground clearance, four-wheel drive with a two-speed transfer case, off-road tuned Rancho monotube shock absorbers, a locking rear differential and an innovative Traction Select System.
The new Elevation model sets itself apart from the other Sierra model variants with its impressive specification levels and commanding looks. These include distinct monochromatic door handles, bumpers and grille surround, which are amplified by black exterior accents, including the grille insert, tow hooks, side window trim and available 20-inch gloss-black aluminum wheels. A Traction Select System is fitted as standard.
The SLE specification is similar to that of the new Elevation, offering features such as cruise control, a rear-vision camera, and an enhanced 8-inch diagonal GMC Infotainment System with Android Auto ready and Apple CarPlay compatibility. The SLT builds on this to add standard features such as a remote vehicle starter system and Infotainment System among others.
The entry-level Sierra base model rounds off the 2019 Sierra lineup. The base model of GMC’s lightweight pickup truck comes with a standard 4.3L V6 engine Active Fuel Management. Featuring signature C-shaped LED headlamps in both the front and rear of the vehicle. Built to work, the vehicle comes with 12 fixed cargo tie-downs, larger rear corner bumper steps and front recovery hooks. The cabin of the vehicle boasts GMC infotainment system on a 7-inch diagonal screen with standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.
