While your PlayStation 4 comes with its own controller with a joystick and some buttons, these are insufficient especially if you are into playing flight simulators such as Ace Combat 7. Playing this game requires specialized controllers and one such brilliant controller comes from Thrustmaster’s stable.
The new (and quite a mouthful) Thrustmaster T.Flight Hotas 4 Ace Combat 7 Skies Unknown Edition for PS4 is a specialized and official controller made for Ace Combat 7 aficionados who own a PS4. This stick in fact makes Bandai Namco’s latest flight simulator more enjoyable and fun.
While the T.Flight Hotas 4 comes clad in a blue and black body to go well with your overall PS4 setup, it also work really well on PCs. Plug the controller into the USB port of your PS4 or a PC and plop it up on the desk. The rubber grips on the bottom ensure that everything stays in place.
Using the T.Flight Hotas 4 your Ace Combat 7 gameplay goes into a whole new level. Everything feels more natural and dramatic, as you get more involved in the game. Hotas means Hands On Throttle and Stick – this is a control method where buttons are placed on the throttle and stick. This allows the primary functions to be used without having to take your hands off the controls.
The T.Flight Hotas 4’s throttle and stick configuration manages this with flying colours, bringing excellent control to the PS4 in a way that controller users simply cannot match. The T.Flight Hotas 4 is a comfortable stick to use. The throttle handle is contoured to your hand, and feels comfortable resting on it.
The throttle mechanism is smooth and has a noticeable center position to indicate your default cruising speed. On the bottom of the unit you will find two raised screws with Hex/Allan sockets and an Allan key to tighten them up. This allows you to securely lock the two portions together, making it perfect for playing on your lap.
What’s missing though is rumble. In addition to Ace Combat 7, the T.Flight Hotas 4 can also be used with games such as Elite: Dangerous, War Thunder, Air Missions: HIND, EVE: Valkyrie, and Ultrawings. For a price of $80, the Thrustmaster T.Flight Hotas 4 is a perfect for those who are into flight-sims and are looking for a solid and responsive flight stick.
Review: Corsair Sabre RGB Pro Wireless Mouse
As part of its Champion Series, Corsair announced its latest Sabre RGB Pro Wireless Mouse on the market today. The company sent the new mouse to us in advance for a review. And after using the mouse for a couple of days, we are glad to report that it exceeded our expectations.
The new mouse joins the league of the Sabre RGB Pro, which was launched earlier in 2021. The new Sabre RGB Pro Wireless is very lightweight and packs in an ergonomic design, that offers a competitive advantage to gamers. The mouse itself offers wired and wireless connectivity to laptops and PCS.
In terms of wireless, you get two options – either through Bluetooth or through Slipstream Wireless. The advantage of using Slipstream Wireless is that the technology transmits inputs at sub-1ms speeds, delivering mouse movements and clicks up to two times faster than a conventional gaming mouse, while also ensuring exceptional wireless signal quality throughout your gameplay.
You also get up to 90 hours of battery life that lets you play wire-free for days between charges. In terms of design, the Sabre RGB Pro Wireless features a similar design seen on the wired version. The Wireless variant though has a bit of heft to it when compared with the wired variant.
You get standard left and right-click buttons, with a slight groove in them for comfortably holding two fingers. You also get a bit of texture to the material on both the left and right-click that keeps your fingers from slipping. Forward and back buttons flank the left side of the mouse, and there is a DPI quick-select button just below the scroll wheel.
Inside the box, you get the Sabre RGB Pro Wireless mouse, along with the Slipstream Wireless receiver, a USB Type-C charging cable, the quick start guide, the warranty info and the safety instructions. Getting started with the Sabre RGB Pro Wireless is effortless. Connect the Slipstream Wireless connector to your PC or laptop and switch on the mouse in Slipstream mode, and you are good to go.
The mouse weighs just 79-gms – so rapid movements and lightning-quick reflexes are not a problem. The mouse also comes packed with professional-grade gaming mouse elements, such as the first-ever Corsair Marksman optical sensor. The mouse also comes with the highest dpi in any Corsair mouse to date at 26,000-dpi. This makes sure you get very precise movement.
The mouse is also compatible for use with Corsair’s very own iCUE software. With this app, you can customise dynamic RGB backlighting, remap buttons, create macros, and adjust DPI settings. All of these can be stored onto three onboard profiles. On the bottom of the Sabre RGB Pro Wireless, you will find a switch to move between Slipstream (RF), charging/wired, or Bluetooth modes and a button above that to initiate pairing for the latter.
Both types of wireless connections worked without issue during our review. However, while gaming, it’s better to use the dongle and Slipstream, as it delivers lower latency at sub-1ms. The mouse was comfortable overall to hold and use.
During our review, we put the Corsair Sabre RGB Pro Wireless to test with a couple of games including Watch Dogs Legion, GTA V, and Doom Eternal. The mouse was very comfortable, quick to respond, and reliable. The buttons were very comfortable as well to use and the sensor on the mouse was very responsive.
The Corsair Sabre RGB Pro Wireless Mouse comes with an impressive sensor, a very aesthetic and comfortable design, Slipstream Wireless technology, good overall performance, and a 26,000-DPI.
The pricing of AED 429, is a bit steep. However, if you are looking at top-notch performance, with very good connectivity options, the Corsair Sabre RGB Pro Wireless mouse comes across as highly recommended. It thus walks away with the Gadget Voize Editors’ Choice award!

Fitbit Launches Charge 5
Fitbit has launched the new Charge 5 that helps users track their fitness, stress, heart health, sleep, and overall wellbeing. With a brighter, colour touchscreen and up to seven days of battery life, the Charge 5 delivers the convenience features you need to focus on what’s most important.
And, with six months of Fitbit Premium included, users get deeper insights, actionable guidance, and a range of more than 500 workouts, plus mindfulness and nutritional content to empower users to do what’s best for their body each day.
With Fitbit Premium’s new Daily Readiness experience, coming soon to Charge 5, as well as Sense, Versa 3, Versa 2, Luxe, and Inspire 2 devices, users can understand if their body is ready for a workout or if they should prioritise recovery instead. Each morning, users will receive a score based on their fitness fatigue (activity), heart rate variability (HRV), and recent sleep.
Users will also get an analysis of what impacted their score, and suggestions like a recommended target Active Zone Minutes goal, along with Premium content to help them make the best decisions for their body. Charge 5 also includes built-in GPS, 20 exercise modes, automatic exercise recognition, and an estimate of their V02 max.
Plus, with Premium, users can access more than 200 workouts from certified trainers and popular brands such as Daily Burn, barre3, obé and new high-energy workouts from LES MILLS. To help users better manage stress, Charge 5 is the company’s first tracker to include an EDA sensor, which measures a user’s body’s response to stress through tiny changes in the sweat glands on their fingers.
Fitbit first launched EDA with Fitbit Sense and has found 70% of users reduced their heart rate during a two-minute EDA Scan session, showing these tools can help reduce stress. With Charge 5 users also get a Stress Management Score in the Fitbit app, so they can see each morning if they’re mentally ready to take on more challenges, or if they need to recharge.
With Premium, users get access to more than 300 meditation and mindfulness sessions from brands and experts, such as Ten Percent Happier and Mindful Method by Deepak Chopra to help users manage their stress. The company is also announcing a partnership with Calm, which will soon provide Premium members with access to Calm content.
Charge 5 tracks a user’s heart rate 24/7 and provides notifications when they are above or below their personal ranges, and while many factors can affect heart rate, a high or low heart rate may be an indication of a heart condition that requires medical attention. In addition to managing their heart’s health, Charge 5 provides a holistic view of other key wellness metrics via the Health Metrics dashboard in the Fitbit app, including breathing rate, skin temperature variation, and SpO2. With Premium, users can also track long-term trends and personal ranges.
And because sleep is also critical to wellbeing, users will continue to receive industry-leading sleep tools such as daily Sleep Score, Sleep Stages, and SmartWake alarms. Premium members also receive a deeper analysis and guidance to improve sleep quality. Ten percent thinner than its predecessor, Charge 5 has an aerodynamic design and is optimized for performance and engineered for a seamless fit.
With a new AMOLED color display, Charge 5 is the company’s first tracker with an always-on display option for added convenience to see stats or while training. The display is also two times brighter than its predecessor making it easy to see stats on sunny days. Users can also switch up their look at any time, choosing from lightweight silicone infinity bands, breathable sport bands, plush nylon hook, and loop bands, and hand-crafted premium Horween leather bands.
Charge 5 will be available for AED 799, which includes a six-month Premium membership (for new or returning customers). It will be available online and in-stores in the UAE this fall through Amazon, Noon, Namshi, Virgin Megastore, GO Sport, Sharaf DG, Jumbo Electronics, LuLu, E-max, Dubai Duty Free, and other retailers.
