Bringing sophisticated AI powered low-light image fusion at this price point, Nokia 2.2 can take detailed photos even in trickier low light conditions. The camera snaps multiple images simultaneously and through advanced algorithms creates a single image with more light, greater detail and less noise. HDR photography captures vivid colours with greater dynamic range in every shot. Make your photos stand out with Google Photos AI-powered features like Colour Pop, to draw attention to your subject, Colourise, which enables monochrome pictures to be turned into full colour, and Beautify, which enhances natural features for the ultimate selfie.

In addition, fans get access to the latest tech trends with “face unlock” and Google Lens. Nokia 2.2 is one of the first phones in its category to come with a biometric face-unlock feature, enabling you to unlock your phone effortlessly. And unlike other handsets at this price point, the advanced AI driven face-unlock uses deep learning algorithms and liveliness detection for an accurate and spoof-proof experience. Google Lens lets you search what you see so when you see a product you like, simply point the camera lens at it to know how you can buy it or point the lens at an album artwork to discover new music and stream via music services such as Spotify.

Nokia 2.2 also offers the latest trends in screen design, featuring an edge-to-edge display with a modern discreet selfie-notch, maximising screen surface while maintaining a pocketable form factor. The 5.71” HD+ edge-to-edge display offers a large screen, while still ensuring the Nokia 2.2 is compact for single-handed use. The display, with 400nits brightness, allows for a more vivid viewing experience. All this comes powered by the quad core MediaTek A22 CPU chipset, which is designed to deliver battery optimisation, so your phone charge lasts you up to an entire day.

The Nokia 2.2 gives fans the chance to express themselves, bringing back personalised smartphone style with exchangeable Nokia Xpress-on covers. The covers use the same nano-texture coating technology to offer you a premium glossy look in a range of vibrant colours. The Nokia Xpress-on covers can be easily interchanged in a matter of seconds and will be available in Pink Sand, Ice Blue and Forest Green.

Nokia 2.2 brings the best of Google Assistant with a dedicated Google Assistant button at our lowest price point yet. Ask your Google Assistant questions, get directions, make calls, and tell it to do things faster than ever before. Published

on

The ASUS Zenbook 14 OLED (UX3402ZA) is one of the most elegant and premium-looking ultrabooks we have reviewed in recent times. The device comes packed in a chassis that is made of aluminium alloy, with the ASUS logo etched on the lid using a bunch of lines.

The Zenbook 14 OLED is available in two different colours such as Ponder Blue and Aqua Celadon. We received the Ponder Blue variant which also features an anti-fingerprint coating on its body.

Opening up the lid reveals a 14-inch 2.8K OLED HDR NanoEdge touchscreen that offers an aspect ratio of 16:10. The laptop features 2.8mm bezels, thus offering a screen-to-body ratio of 90%. The display also offers a resolution of 2880-by-1800 pixels, a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio, 0.2ms response time and a 90Hz refresh rate.

The display is also VESA DisplayHDR 500 True Black certified. In addition, the display also supports a peak brightness of up to 600 nits and 0.0005 nits of deep black brightness – this means content creators will have no problems when working on the colour correction of their content.

The ASUS Zenbook 14 OLED also comes with a 180° hinge. This means you can lay the laptop flat on a table for watching content for example. The colours reproduced on this device’s display were rich and vivid.

The Zenbook 14 OLED is part of the ASUS OLED laptops range and hence the display supports cinema-grade 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut. In addition, it is certified for low blue light emission thus keeping you safe from fatigue for instance.

In terms of I/O ports, you get a variety of selections. On the left edge, you get a USB3.2 Gen2 port. On the right edge, you get an HDMI 2.0 port, a 3.5mm audio combo jack, a Thunderbolt 4 USB Type-C port, and a microSD card slot.

Under the hood, the ASUS Zenbook 14 OLED comes packed with a 12th Gen Intel Core i7-1260P processor running at a clock speed of 2.10-GHz.

This is coupled with 16GB of RAM and 1TB PCIe of 4.0 x4 NVMe M.2 SSD. Graphics are handled by Intel Iris Xe graphics and the laptop has been built using the Intel Evo platform. For wireless connectivity, you get Dual-band WiFi 6E (802.11ax) and Bluetooth 5.2.

In the past, ScreenXpert 2.0 was used as an application to support and assist ASUS dual-screen models. However, now the brand new ScreenXpert 3.0 supports general single-screen models of ASUS laptops, providing users of ASUS laptops with a more efficient experience when dealing with multi-window-related operations. The single-screen version of ScreenXpert 3.0 features APP Switcher, App Navigator, and Camera & Microphone switcher. This can be enabled in the My ASUS software.

The ASUS Zenbook 14 OLED also comes with an ErgoLift hinge design which results in the ErgoSense keyboard automatically tilting when the laptop is opened. This design allows users to type more comfortably and increases the ventilation space under the chassis for improved heat dissipation.

The keyboard of the Zenbook 14 OLED series achieves a 19.05mm pitch and offers many commonly used function keys, allowing you to type comfortably. The ASUS Zenbook 14 OLED also comes with the NumberPad 2.0. This is an LED-illuminated numeric keypad, which has been integrated into the touchpad.

A single-touch sensor at the top right of the touchpad turns NumberPad on and off, and a tap on the icon at the top left lets you choose one of two brightness levels. In addition, you can also swipe from the top left icon in any direction on the NumberPad 2.0 to activate the Calculator app on the main display.

The speakers on this laptop have been tuned by Harman Kardon and the dual speakers also support Dolby Atmos. The laptop is powered by a 75Wh battery and the laptop weighs just 1.39-kgs.

In our tests, the ASUS Zenbook 14 OLED performed really well. In Cinebench Single Core tests, it scored 1692 points, while in the Multi-Core tests, it scored 10257 points. In PCMark 10, overall it scored 5702 points. Overall, the ASUS Zenbook 14 OLED offers good performance for everyday use for an ultrabook.

For a price of AED 5299, the ASUS Zenbook 14 OLED is a great ultrabook with an awesome OLED screen. If you are a content creator and are looking for a laptop with a great OLED screen and good performance, the ASUS Zenbook 14 OLED might just fit the bill.
