“Innovation has been at the core of everything we do at ASUS. From our start with motherboards three decades ago, we are now a multinational company with an expansive portfolio of incredible and innovative products that are consistently recognized by top-rated media outlets and by our fans,” said Jeff Lo, ASUS Middle East Regional Head. “It’s with great pride that I present today’s lineup of innovative notebook products for creatives and gamers. Each product on display today is a reflection of our devotion and ambition to create Incredible in everything we do.”
ASUS says it is working on improving the experience for mobile creatives and professionals with the new ZenBook Pro Duo an ultraportable laptop featuring ScreenPad Plus, the next generation of the world’s first intelligent touchpad. ScreenPad Plus offers a larger and full-width display, a more intuitive design, seamless viewing experience, and improved multi-screen workflow to empower the ultimate creativity.
ZenBook Pro Duo features a 15.6-inch 4K UHD (3840 x 2160) OLED HDR display with a 14-inch 4K(3840 x 1100) ScreenPad Plus and is powered by a 9th Gen Intel Core i9 eight-core processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 ray-tracing graphics. It also features 40 Gbps Thunderbolt 3, NumberPad 2.0, Amazon Alexa voice control and a dedicated turbo-cooling button. It also features the Intel Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) with Gig+ to deliver networking speeds of up to 2.4 Gbps for rapid internet connectivity.
The new ZenBook and VivoBook models feature the ScreenPad2.0, powered by the new ScreenXpert software. ScreenPad 2.0 now has a larger 5.65-inch touchscreen that offers many new features and benefits. This interactive secondary touchscreen enhances productivity, allowing for a more efficient workflow. It includes a collection of handy ASUS utilities to boost productivity: Quick Key enables one-tap automation of complex keyboard sequences, Handwriting for natural text input, and Number Key for rapid data entry.
The revised smartphone-like interface is more intuitive for improved ease of use. Third-party developers can also use the ASUS API to optimize their software and user experiences for ScreenPad. The hardware is now also more energy efficient than its predecessor, allowing for 2.5X longer battery life when ScreenPad is in use. “We believe that giving consumers a second screen is the way of the future. This innovation greatly improves multi-tasking and productivity and we have spent countless hours working on the UI and improving the functionality and user experience for the second generation,” said Jeff.
The ScreenPad 2.0 is also featured on the new ZenBook 14 (UX434). The ultralight and ultraportable ZenBook 14 model boasts the smallest footprints in their class, a feat made possible by the frameless NanoEdge displays. The stunning 14-inch display features ultraslim bezels on all four sides, creating up to a 95% screen-to-body ratio that maximizes the screen area in the minimum physical space.
The result is simply breathtaking: the near-borderless visuals deliver a more immersive viewing experience with less visual distraction, making the ZenBook series the perfect choice for on-the-go creativity or entertainment. The new ZenBook 14 series is built to deliver unbounded on-the-go performance, featuring up to the latest 8th Generation Intel® Core™ i7 processor and a range of fast graphics options, including up to NVIDIA® GeForce MX250 discrete graphics.
ASUS also announced the VivoBook S14, which also features the ScreenPad 2.0, the first time that the ScreenPad is available on the VivoBook product line. “To appeal to a younger market, these are the first in the VivoBook range to feature the VivoBook logo on the lid, and the lid also features a tactile textured finish to further highlight the series’ different approach to computing. There are also intricate design touches like twill‑inspired vents and speakers on the underside of the chassis. VivoBook S14 has a metal chassis finished in Moss Green, Punk Pink, Cobalt Blue, Transparent Silver or Gun Metal, with each color featuring complementing accents to give the laptops color‑blocking designs that really pop,” said the company in a statement.
