ASUS ROG Launches New Lineup of Gaming Notebooks

Published

on

ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) has launched a new lineup of gaming notebook products at the Be Unstoppable 2019 the Middle East regional launch event. Highlighted by the world’s first true desktop replacement notebook the ROG Mothership, the company also announced the compact yet powerful ROG Zephyrus S (GX502) and will be the first to bring a 240-hertz refresh rate panel monitor to the region with the arrival of the Scar III (G731). The latest ROG gaming laptops offer serious utility to both competitive gamers and creative professionals.

“The Middle East is one of our most important markets for gaming as we strive to continue to be the number one gaming brand globally. Gaming hardware enthusiasts in the region have shown a desire to continue having the latest and greatest hardware and we aim at providing them with it. We appreciate the support they have shown for the ROG products,” said Jeff Lo, Regional Head for the Middle East.

Smooth gameplay demands high frame rates to fully take advantage of a high refresh rate display. Zephyrus S GX502 comes with up to GeForce RTX 2070 graphics that can deliver fluid frame rates for everything from cinematic adventures to high-intensity shooters. Games will not only look and feel smoother thanks to the industry-best 240Hz refresh rate but they’ll also look great thanks to each IPS-level panel receiving factory calibration using ASUS ProArt TruColor Technology. Each PANTONE Validated display also ensures true colors across the full sRGB range. Capable of more than just gaming, Zephyrus S GX502 ensures that artists, designers, and content creators can polish their portfolios and complete critical projects with the confidence that colors are accurate on a global scale.

Computationally intensive tasks in particular benefit from the new 9th Gen Intel Core i7-9750H CPU, providing six cores and 12 threads to power through demanding tasks. With up to 32GB of DDR4-2666 memory, Zephyrus S GX502 can handle any multitasking scenario. Gamers can broadcast high-quality streams, chat with the channel, and play the latest titles smoothly, while power users can run everything they need for maximum productivity.

ROG is dedicated to staying at the forefront of gaming laptop display technology, breaking its own high-refresh records to push the boundaries of speed. Now, Strix SCAR III (G731) and Strix G (G531) are the first to bring 240Hz/3ms displays screens. With up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 graphics that can push into factory overclocked territory thanks to ROG Boost, they have enough horsepower to generate triple-digit frame rates for sublimely smooth gameplay in fast-paced titles and competitive esports. Heavy multitasking is fast and efficient, with the latest Intel Core i9-9880H CPU & the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 graphics. Gamers can play, chat, and stream simultaneously, while content creators can run all the apps they need for maximum productivity.

ROG helped define the dark aesthetic that has become synonymous with PC gaming hardware. While Original Black will never go out of style, this season’s focus on ROG Intelligent Cooling inspired our designers to find a cool color to complement it. The result is a frosty shade that looks and feels brighter and lighter, bringing new energy to gaming laptops. Glacier Blue is coming with cooler weather later this year in the Zephyrus S GX502 and Strix G G531 and G731.

A radical internal concept made real, the ROG Mothership caters to connoisseurs who appreciate the engineering and craftsmanship that goes into premium PC hardware. This desktop replacement redefines what’s possible for portable gaming machines that take hardcore horsepower to go.  Instead of sitting flat, the ROG Mothership stands tall to draw more air into its advanced cooling system.

Its keyboard detaches and folds to fit different scenarios, giving you the freedom to find the perfect position, and the innovative design leaves enough room to put all the speakers right below the screen. The main body pieces are machined from solid slabs of aluminum using a precise CNC milling process that ensures a perfect fit. The process steps through 114 individual tooling stages and takes nearly 20 hours to carve every little detail. Each piece is brushed and anodized for a flawless finish that’s guaranteed to turn heads.

The exquisitely machined aluminum chassis frames a 17.3” Full HD IPS-level display with a 144Hz refresh rate, 3ms GTG response time display featuring NVIDIA G-SYNC technology is powered by the new NVIDIA GeForce RTX™ 2080 GPU and Intel Core i9-8950HK processor. Better cooling allows the ROG Mothership to push the CPU and GPU beyond stock speeds and still sustain exceptional performance with demanding workloads.

The factory overclocked core is complemented by a RAID 0 array with three NVMe SSDs, plus next-generation networking that enables greater than gigabit speeds for both wired and wireless connections. Thermals have also been significantly upgraded as the ROG ‘Mothership’ consist of a Thermal Grizzly liquid metal safely ensconced within a thermal fence on the heatblock instead of regular thermal paste. This reduces the CPU temperature but up to 14 degrees Celsius for better performance and product life.

CNC machines carve blocks of solid aluminum to create the main pieces for the chassis and keyboard. The painstaking process takes 114 tooling stages and nearly 20 hours to shape every little detail, then each piece is brushed and anodized to add a premium finish. This produces an exquisite body that’s stylish enough to turn heads and strong enough to withstand the knocks and bumps of life on the road.

ZOTAC Unveils RTX 5060 Series With NVIDIA Blackwell

Published

on

ZOTAC Technology has unveiled its latest GeForce RTX 5060 Series graphics cards, powered by NVIDIA’s next-generation Blackwell architecture. The lineup includes the RTX 5060 Ti in 16GB and 8GB variants, along with the standard RTX 5060, all featuring ultra-fast GDDR7 memory, advanced cooling solutions, and compact designs for broad system compatibility.

Designed for both gamers and creators, the new GPUs leverage AI acceleration through DLSS 4, delivering smoother frame rates and enhanced ray tracing. NVIDIA’s Studio tools and NIM microservices further expand creative possibilities, enabling AI-assisted workflows and faster content creation.

ZOTAC’s focus on small-form-factor (SFF) compatibility ensures these cards fit seamlessly into tight PC cases. The AMP model stands out with a factory overclock, dual BladeLink fans, and IceStorm 2.0 cooling for peak performance. Meanwhile, the Twin Edge (OC) offers a balanced blend of power and efficiency in a 2-slot design, and the SOLO variant caters to ultra-compact builds with its single-fan configuration.

Efficiency is a key highlight, with the entire series requiring only a single 8-pin PCIe power connector, reducing the need for PSU upgrades. The IceStorm 2.0 cooling system—featuring extended heat sinks, composite heat pipes, and optimized airflow—ensures stable thermals even under heavy loads. Additional refinements include FREEZE fan stop for silent operation during low-intensity tasks and a metal backplate for added durability.

For enthusiasts who prefer manual tuning, ZOTAC’s updated FireStorm utility provides intuitive control over clock speeds, voltage, and fan curves.
