Acer has expanded its line of Predator gaming monitors with three new VESA DisplayHDR -Certified models: the Predator CG437K S, Predator X38 S, and Predator X28. Acer has also announced new peripherals such as the Predator Connect X5 5G CPE router, Predator Connect D5 5G Dongle, and Predator Cestus 335 gaming mouse further enhance the gameplay experience.
The new monitors target different niches by offering something that will excite a wide variety of gamers, whether weekend warrior or seasoned professionals.
Predator CG437K S
The Predator CG437KS is a massive 42.5-inch NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible gaming monitor with a UHD (3840×2160) display that strives to provide players with the most flexible experience possible, containing a pair of HDMI 2.1 ports that support the latest game consoles and allow for 4K 144 Hz with VRR using only a single cable. A USB hub offers a USB-B port, a pair of both USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports to support an array of peripherals, plus a USB Type-C (PD30W) port for good measure. Additionally, a built-in KVM switch simplifies the lives of those who juggle multiple PCs. Once users are all set up, the monitor’s 144 Hz refresh rate and 1 ms VRB response time provide satisfying gameplay.
The monitor’s VESA DisplayHDR 1000 Certification ensures that games look excellent for enthusiasts and that footage appears true-to-life for content creators. Outstanding local-dimming, peak 1,000 nits brightness, and high contrast ratios help all of the details come to life, while the monitor’s Delta E<1 rating and 90% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut provide highly accurate color representation. Completing the experience, NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatibility keeps the monitor and GPU in lockstep, allowing for buttery-smooth gameplay with no stutters or tearing.
A monitor that makes statements, the Predator CG437KS comes with RGB lighting strips that can be synced to music and media. It also features a range of thoughtful technology that allows the monitor to adjust to each user’s environment: Acer ColorSense adjusts the screen’s temperature to match the ambiance of the environment, Acer LightSense detects the ambient lighting and adjusts the monitor’s brightness settings accordingly, and Acer ProxiSense automatically wakes the monitor when users are nearby or dim it when they aren’t.
The Predator X38S is a 2300R curved UWQHD+ (3840×1600) monitor boasting a DCI-P3 98% wide color gamut, Delta E<2 ratings, and VESA DisplayHDR 600 Certification, qualifications that allow for breathtakingly realistic images. Bright scenes glimmer while dark ones retain the rich shades of black that make little details—and hidden enemies—pop out, even when shrouded in shadows. A 175 Hz refresh rate (overclocked) and response time as low as a 0.3 ms G-to-G let players jump right into the action without worrying about ghosting, while the display’s 37.5-inch Agile-Splendor IPS display ensures that everything looks great, even at wide viewing angles.
Predator Game Mode offers players eight pre-set (customizable) display modes to suit different genres of content, while Acer LightSense and Acer ColorSense make automatic adjustments to screen brightness and color temperature based on the environment. NVIDIA G-SYNC Esports Mode is a display preset designed for competitive gaming that ensures the lowest possible latency by turning off the variable backlight and makes it easier to distinguish objects in dark areas by increasing black levels and fine-tuning gamma levels.
The Predator X38 S also includes the NVIDIA Reflex Latency Analyzer, a revolutionary system latency measurement tool that detects clicks coming from the mouse and then measures the time it takes for the resulting pixels (i.e., a gun muzzle flash) to change on-screen, while NVIDIA G-SYNC ULTIMATE enables smooth, fast-paced gameplay by eliminating screen tearing, minimizing display stutter and cutting down on input lag.
The Predator X28 is a 28-inch UHD (3840×2160) monitor defined by a slim profile and narrow bezels that give it a refreshingly clean look. Its VESA DisplayHDR400 Certified Agile-Splendor IPS display offers a 155 Hz refresh rate (overclocked) with a 1 ms G-to-G response time, all super smooth thanks to NVIDIA G-SYNC and G-SYNC Esports Mode. The monitor also features the NVIDIA Reflex Latency Analyzer.
Acer LightSense, ColorSense, and ProxiSense ensure that the monitor always looks as good as possible, in any lighting. To offer a more comfortable viewing experience, BlueLightShield Pro manages high-energy wavelengths in order to selectively filter out blue light emissions while maintaining Delta E<1 color accuracy. The Predator X28 is a TÜV Rheinland Eyesafe-certified gaming monitor.
The new range of accessories has been designed with the needs of gamers in mind and improves the user’s gaming experience.

On top of providing blazing fast 5G speeds and enabling a computer to be used as a 5G Wi-Fi hotspot, the dongle prioritises bandwidth allocation and reduces latency in order to improve a user’s overall gaming experience. Onboard active cooling ensures the device maintains optimal levels of performance. Review: Corsair Sabre RGB Pro Wireless Mouse
As part of its Champion Series, Corsair announced its latest Sabre RGB Pro Wireless Mouse on the market today. The company sent the new mouse to us in advance for a review. And after using the mouse for a couple of days, we are glad to report that it exceeded our expectations.
The new mouse joins the league of the Sabre RGB Pro, which was launched earlier in 2021. The new Sabre RGB Pro Wireless is very lightweight and packs in an ergonomic design, that offers a competitive advantage to gamers. The mouse itself offers wired and wireless connectivity to laptops and PCS.
In terms of wireless, you get two options – either through Bluetooth or through Slipstream Wireless. The advantage of using Slipstream Wireless is that the technology transmits inputs at sub-1ms speeds, delivering mouse movements and clicks up to two times faster than a conventional gaming mouse, while also ensuring exceptional wireless signal quality throughout your gameplay.
You also get up to 90 hours of battery life that lets you play wire-free for days between charges. In terms of design, the Sabre RGB Pro Wireless features a similar design seen on the wired version. The Wireless variant though has a bit of heft to it when compared with the wired variant.
You get standard left and right-click buttons, with a slight groove in them for comfortably holding two fingers. You also get a bit of texture to the material on both the left and right-click that keeps your fingers from slipping. Forward and back buttons flank the left side of the mouse, and there is a DPI quick-select button just below the scroll wheel.
Inside the box, you get the Sabre RGB Pro Wireless mouse, along with the Slipstream Wireless receiver, a USB Type-C charging cable, the quick start guide, the warranty info and the safety instructions. Getting started with the Sabre RGB Pro Wireless is effortless. Connect the Slipstream Wireless connector to your PC or laptop and switch on the mouse in Slipstream mode, and you are good to go.
The mouse weighs just 79-gms – so rapid movements and lightning-quick reflexes are not a problem. The mouse also comes packed with professional-grade gaming mouse elements, such as the first-ever Corsair Marksman optical sensor. The mouse also comes with the highest dpi in any Corsair mouse to date at 26,000-dpi. This makes sure you get very precise movement.
The mouse is also compatible for use with Corsair’s very own iCUE software. With this app, you can customise dynamic RGB backlighting, remap buttons, create macros, and adjust DPI settings. All of these can be stored onto three onboard profiles. On the bottom of the Sabre RGB Pro Wireless, you will find a switch to move between Slipstream (RF), charging/wired, or Bluetooth modes and a button above that to initiate pairing for the latter.
Both types of wireless connections worked without issue during our review. However, while gaming, it’s better to use the dongle and Slipstream, as it delivers lower latency at sub-1ms. The mouse was comfortable overall to hold and use.
During our review, we put the Corsair Sabre RGB Pro Wireless to test with a couple of games including Watch Dogs Legion, GTA V, and Doom Eternal. The mouse was very comfortable, quick to respond, and reliable. The buttons were very comfortable as well to use and the sensor on the mouse was very responsive.
The Corsair Sabre RGB Pro Wireless Mouse comes with an impressive sensor, a very aesthetic and comfortable design, Slipstream Wireless technology, good overall performance, and a 26,000-DPI.
The pricing of AED 429, is a bit steep. However, if you are looking at top-notch performance, with very good connectivity options, the Corsair Sabre RGB Pro Wireless mouse comes across as highly recommended. It thus walks away with the Gadget Voize Editors’ Choice award!

Fitbit Launches Charge 5
Fitbit has launched the new Charge 5 that helps users track their fitness, stress, heart health, sleep, and overall wellbeing. With a brighter, colour touchscreen and up to seven days of battery life, the Charge 5 delivers the convenience features you need to focus on what’s most important.
And, with six months of Fitbit Premium included, users get deeper insights, actionable guidance, and a range of more than 500 workouts, plus mindfulness and nutritional content to empower users to do what’s best for their body each day.
With Fitbit Premium’s new Daily Readiness experience, coming soon to Charge 5, as well as Sense, Versa 3, Versa 2, Luxe, and Inspire 2 devices, users can understand if their body is ready for a workout or if they should prioritise recovery instead. Each morning, users will receive a score based on their fitness fatigue (activity), heart rate variability (HRV), and recent sleep.
Users will also get an analysis of what impacted their score, and suggestions like a recommended target Active Zone Minutes goal, along with Premium content to help them make the best decisions for their body. Charge 5 also includes built-in GPS, 20 exercise modes, automatic exercise recognition, and an estimate of their V02 max.
Plus, with Premium, users can access more than 200 workouts from certified trainers and popular brands such as Daily Burn, barre3, obé and new high-energy workouts from LES MILLS. To help users better manage stress, Charge 5 is the company’s first tracker to include an EDA sensor, which measures a user’s body’s response to stress through tiny changes in the sweat glands on their fingers.
Fitbit first launched EDA with Fitbit Sense and has found 70% of users reduced their heart rate during a two-minute EDA Scan session, showing these tools can help reduce stress. With Charge 5 users also get a Stress Management Score in the Fitbit app, so they can see each morning if they’re mentally ready to take on more challenges, or if they need to recharge.
With Premium, users get access to more than 300 meditation and mindfulness sessions from brands and experts, such as Ten Percent Happier and Mindful Method by Deepak Chopra to help users manage their stress. The company is also announcing a partnership with Calm, which will soon provide Premium members with access to Calm content.
Charge 5 tracks a user’s heart rate 24/7 and provides notifications when they are above or below their personal ranges, and while many factors can affect heart rate, a high or low heart rate may be an indication of a heart condition that requires medical attention. In addition to managing their heart’s health, Charge 5 provides a holistic view of other key wellness metrics via the Health Metrics dashboard in the Fitbit app, including breathing rate, skin temperature variation, and SpO2. With Premium, users can also track long-term trends and personal ranges.
And because sleep is also critical to wellbeing, users will continue to receive industry-leading sleep tools such as daily Sleep Score, Sleep Stages, and SmartWake alarms. Premium members also receive a deeper analysis and guidance to improve sleep quality. Ten percent thinner than its predecessor, Charge 5 has an aerodynamic design and is optimized for performance and engineered for a seamless fit.
With a new AMOLED color display, Charge 5 is the company’s first tracker with an always-on display option for added convenience to see stats or while training. The display is also two times brighter than its predecessor making it easy to see stats on sunny days. Users can also switch up their look at any time, choosing from lightweight silicone infinity bands, breathable sport bands, plush nylon hook, and loop bands, and hand-crafted premium Horween leather bands.
Charge 5 will be available for AED 799, which includes a six-month Premium membership (for new or returning customers). It will be available online and in-stores in the UAE this fall through Amazon, Noon, Namshi, Virgin Megastore, GO Sport, Sharaf DG, Jumbo Electronics, LuLu, E-max, Dubai Duty Free, and other retailers.
