As part of its Champion Series, Corsair announced its latest Sabre RGB Pro Wireless Mouse on the market today. The company sent the new mouse to us in advance for a review. And after using the mouse for a couple of days, we are glad to report that it exceeded our expectations.
The new mouse joins the league of the Sabre RGB Pro, which was launched earlier in 2021. The new Sabre RGB Pro Wireless is very lightweight and packs in an ergonomic design, that offers a competitive advantage to gamers. The mouse itself offers wired and wireless connectivity to laptops and PCS.
In terms of wireless, you get two options – either through Bluetooth or through Slipstream Wireless. The advantage of using Slipstream Wireless is that the technology transmits inputs at sub-1ms speeds, delivering mouse movements and clicks up to two times faster than a conventional gaming mouse, while also ensuring exceptional wireless signal quality throughout your gameplay.
You also get up to 90 hours of battery life that lets you play wire-free for days between charges. In terms of design, the Sabre RGB Pro Wireless features a similar design seen on the wired version. The Wireless variant though has a bit of heft to it when compared with the wired variant.
You get standard left and right-click buttons, with a slight groove in them for comfortably holding two fingers. You also get a bit of texture to the material on both the left and right-click that keeps your fingers from slipping. Forward and back buttons flank the left side of the mouse, and there is a DPI quick-select button just below the scroll wheel.
Inside the box, you get the Sabre RGB Pro Wireless mouse, along with the Slipstream Wireless receiver, a USB Type-C charging cable, the quick start guide, the warranty info and the safety instructions. Getting started with the Sabre RGB Pro Wireless is effortless. Connect the Slipstream Wireless connector to your PC or laptop and switch on the mouse in Slipstream mode, and you are good to go.
The mouse weighs just 79-gms – so rapid movements and lightning-quick reflexes are not a problem. The mouse also comes packed with professional-grade gaming mouse elements, such as the first-ever Corsair Marksman optical sensor. The mouse also comes with the highest dpi in any Corsair mouse to date at 26,000-dpi. This makes sure you get very precise movement.
The mouse is also compatible for use with Corsair’s very own iCUE software. With this app, you can customise dynamic RGB backlighting, remap buttons, create macros, and adjust DPI settings. All of these can be stored onto three onboard profiles. On the bottom of the Sabre RGB Pro Wireless, you will find a switch to move between Slipstream (RF), charging/wired, or Bluetooth modes and a button above that to initiate pairing for the latter.
Both types of wireless connections worked without issue during our review. However, while gaming, it’s better to use the dongle and Slipstream, as it delivers lower latency at sub-1ms. The mouse was comfortable overall to hold and use.
During our review, we put the Corsair Sabre RGB Pro Wireless to test with a couple of games including Watch Dogs Legion, GTA V, and Doom Eternal. The mouse was very comfortable, quick to respond, and reliable. The buttons were very comfortable as well to use and the sensor on the mouse was very responsive.
The Corsair Sabre RGB Pro Wireless Mouse comes with an impressive sensor, a very aesthetic and comfortable design, Slipstream Wireless technology, good overall performance, and a 26,000-DPI.
The pricing of AED 429, is a bit steep. However, if you are looking at top-notch performance, with very good connectivity options, the Corsair Sabre RGB Pro Wireless mouse comes across as highly recommended. It thus walks away with the Gadget Voize Editors’ Choice award!

HUAWEI Launches the new Eyewear 2 Smart Glasses with Open Acoustic Design
Huawei is taking wearable audio tech to the next level with the launch of the Eyewear 2 smart glasses. Now available in the UAE, the IP54 water and sweat-resistant Eyewear 2 combines seamless style with robust performance, making it a quintessential daily companion. These smart glasses feature an open acoustic design, intuitive smart features, and a comfortable and lightweight design for all-day wear. The new HUAWEI Eyewear 2 is compatible with Huawei devices as well as other Android and iOS devices, and is available in the UAE at a price of AED 899 from Huawei’s Experience Stores and e-shop.
The Eyewear 2 comes in Browline Eyewear frames and Rectangle Half-Frame Eyewear frames. The Browline Eyewear design features a 4.7g ultra-light frame (excluding lenses) made from β titanium, in a sleek Titanium Silver hue. The streamlined floating frame creates the impression of levitating lens, creating a space-age look. The β titanium is a hallmark of high-end eyewear, as it boasts superior strength, corrosion resistance, and pliability.
The Rectangle Half-Frame Eyewear has a longer upper frame, which gives the wearer a more vibrant and casual look. The frame exudes trendiness and versatility. It strikes the perfect balance between aesthetics and utility. The frame’s brow line features a high-density textured plate, for higher gloss and greater resistance to deformation and discolouration and the nose bridge is made of metal.
The Eyewear 2 will give you an all-day battery life. On a full charge, it provides 11 hours of listening time, 9 hours of calling and up to 4 days of standby time. That means when you wear it without actively using the audio features, it can last for up to 4 days. And if stored in a protective case, it can maintain power for at least 1 month. Charging up the eyewear is also fast and easy. A quick 10-minute charge will give you up to 3 hours of music playback, and a 50-minute charging session results in a full charge.
The HUAWEI Eyewear 2 features an open acoustic design, that accurately projects sound to your ear through directional sound transmission technology. This design allows users to stay aware of their surroundings while listening to audio. The open acoustic design is also healthier than in-ear headphones as it does not block the ear canals, minimising bacterial growth and hearing loss.
HUAWEI Eyewear 2 employs the industry-first Codirectional Dual-Diaphragm Dynamic Driver with a square speaker design, Dual-Face Symmetrical Sound Devices, and new Smoother Front-Facing Acoustic Outlets, to achieve high-quality sound transmission. The second-generation Reverse Sound Field Acoustic System provides intelligent volume adjustment while subtly cancelling sound waves, boosting user listening privacy.
HUAWEI Eyewear 2 has multiple sensors on each side, including a large touch area and a sliding sensor zone. These sensors allow you to use a variety of smart touch controls[ You can customise the gestures in the AI Life app. Actual features may vary.]. You can easily connect your glasses with smartphones and tablets, and enjoy a low-latency audio flow across multiple devices. This is very convenient for users who need to multi-task and switch between devices when working at home or in the office.
With its IP54 certification for sweatproof and water resistance, the Eyewear 2 is also designed to handle everyday use in all conditions. HUAWEI Eyewear 2 is designed to be ergonomic and comfortable to wear. Huawei also optimised the design of the nose pads and hinges based on four years of research in ergonomics and structural design. These improvements provide users with a comfortable wearing experience all day long.
The Ultimate Buying Guide: Gaming Keyboards
When shopping for a gaming keyboard, focus on key factors: latency, switch types, and comfort. Consider extras such as RGB, media controls, and software customisation. Most gamers prefer mechanical keyboards for lower latency and more features. We’ve tested a wide range of keyboards and here are our recommendations for some of the best gaming keyboards we have reviewed so far!
ASUS ROG Azoth Wireless Gaming Keyboard
ASUS’ Republic of Gamers has a reputation for producing high-quality gaming products, including gaming gear, peripherals, PCs, laptops, and smartphones. Their latest offering, the Azoth Wireless Gaming Keyboard, is no exception. This keyboard is loaded with features and connectivity options and takes it a step further by offering a fully customisable experience.
Every key on the keyboard is hot-swappable and the board itself is designed to provide the best tactile experience for gamers. Additionally, the ROG Azoth comes with a DIY Switch Lube kit to ensure consistent performance. The Azoth aims to satisfy both gamers and keyboard customizers by providing a comprehensive package. The build quality of the ROG Azoth keyboard is impressive. Its three-layer system ensures a comfortable and responsive typing experience that surpasses many keyboards we have tested in the past.
The Azoth also comes packed with a 2-inch OLED display that can be customised to display information about system operations, control multimedia functions, and manage certain keyboard functions. It comes with a small knob and button controller that makes it quite practical to use. It essentially creates a shortcut menu for some basic functions, saving the hassle of loading up the Armory Crate software. The ASUS ROG Azoth Wireless Gaming Keyboard is thus the ultimate gaming keyboard around.
Corsair K70 RGB TKL Champion Series Mechanical Gaming Keyboard
Corsair’s K70 RGB TKL Champion Series Mechanical Gaming Keyboard is an excellent gaming keyboard that comes in a tenkeyless form factor. For those uninitiated, Tenkeyless is a term used to describe keyboards that do not have a 10-key numeric keypad on the right side. The tenkeyless design is absolutely amazing for gaming, doing away with the Numpad. This, in turn, gives your mouse a lot more room to manoeuvre, since you usually get little use out of a Numpad in most gaming situations. The reduction in size also means a reduction in weight, making it easier to lug your mechanical keyboard around.
The keyboard also comes with a “Tournament Switch”, just next to the USB Type-C, which when flicked, makes the keyboard competition-ready. What this means is that it changes the backlighting on the K70 RGB TKL to a single static colour for less distraction and disables custom actions and macros. The keyboard is very well-built and the design is top-notch. You get a sort of a brushed metal look up top, while the keys themselves are quite nice. Underneath the keyboard, you get the anti-slip pads and the flip-out keyboard legs. In terms of polling rates, at default, the keyboard is at 1000Hz. However, if speed is what you need, you can change it to 8000Hz using the iCUE software.
Ducky One 3 Mini Classic RGB Keyboard
Fancy switches and LCD screens are no longer enough to stand out in the keyboard market. To excel, manufacturers must offer sought-after features such as high-quality stabilisers, durable (preferably PBT) keycaps, and even hot-swap PCBs, which are becoming increasingly demanded by users. The Ducky One 3 Mini Classic RGB Keyboard also introduces QUACK Mechanics, a series of improvements that earned its name in a lighthearted manner.
As a 60% keyboard, its compact size contributes to its enhanced rigidity, making it feel like a keyboard designed for durability and resilience. The design team at Ducky truly crafted a keyboard ready for any challenge. Since this is a 60% form factor keyboard, it only retains the essential keys and sheds all the extras. It leaves out the function row, number pad, arrow keys, navigation buttons, and media keys.
Razer Huntsman Mini Analog
Razer’s new Huntsman Mini Analog is a new version of its compact 60% gaming keyboard. The standout feature on the Huntsman Mini Analog is optical switches with variable actuation, which let gamers assign two functions to a single keystroke depending on how hard the key is pressed.
The keyboard is designed for “LAN players, fans of minimalist gaming set-ups, or those looking to save space, whilst giving users the fine control and precision demanded by today’s games.” Note that to use dual-step actuation on the keyboard, you’ll have to run the Razer Synapse software. Dual-step lets you press a key lightly and hold it until you’re ready, then press all the way down to initiate a follow-up action. It can be used, for example, to combine actions like equipping an item and then using it.
SteelSeries Apex Pro TKL
SteelSeries’ esports-ready TKL design allows for a cleaner desktop space whilst also giving more room for large sweeping mouse movement, ensuring game-winning moments go unimpeded. For the first time, the Apex Pro TKL will be untethered and available with next-gen high-performance Quantum 2.0 Dual Wireless technology.
With the Apex Pro TKL, users can take advantage of OmniPoint 2.0 technology to switch between agile 0.2mm actuation and deep and purposeful 3.8mm key presses. The TKL design gives users more desk space, for clutch plays while still being transportable to LAN events. A built-in OLED smart display allows gamers to see the game system and chat information as it happens, making the need to minimize games a thing of the past. Double shot PBT keycaps ensure the keycaps last just as long as the 100m keystroke-rated switches.
Logitech’s new G715 Gaming Keyboard from the Aurora Collection delivers low-key vibes with high-key performance so you can express yourself and play your way. You can float away with its dreamy white design and comfy, cloud-shaped keyboard palm rest. With a tenkeyless layout and adjustable height, this is an ideal compact mechanical keyboard for gaming that gives you that good game feeling, all day long.
The G715 release arrives with a slick white design that comes backed by per-key RGB backlighting and GX Red tactile switches. The wireless form factor works over both Bluetooth and the 2.4GHz wireless receiver and also features other fun inclusions like a dedicated volume scroll bar, media controls, and a customisable top plate.
