A Ventilation Kit for Facemasks Called Aeronest to be Showcased at GITEX 2021

Published

on

NewPadMaker – TazTag, a French company with more than 15 years of experience in technological innovation, will be introducing at GITEX Technology Week (17th-21st Oct) its latest innovative tool to meet the demands of the modern world in which wearing a mask has become the new “norm”. The daily wearing of face masks to protect ourselves and the people around us, particularly in situations where we are forced to wear them for longer hours, brings with it some challenges and struggles which need to be addressed. To this end, the NewPadMaker team has developed Aeronest, which is a ventilation device to be attached to the mask.

Aeronest is a patented French innovation that can be safely and effortlessly attached to a face mask with a magnetic holding system that doesn’t interfere with the structure or the filtration efficiency. Once the device’s integrated fan is safely installed between the mask and the face, Aeronest will draw fresh air in from the outside. Thanks to Aeronest’s convenient design, it can fit on any type of mask (N95, FFP2, surgical, fabric), while its 3 ventilation speeds – which can be easily adjusted with one click without the need to remove it – allow the airflow to be renewed for 8-12 hours.

By pulling fresh air into the mask, Aeronest reduces the temperature, humidity, and CO2 inside the mask, which in turn helps eliminates the causes of fatigue, skin pimples, and steam on glasses. And by attaching the ear-loops to the strap behind the head, Aeronest can additionally ease the mask’s pressure on the ears and erase the pain. Suitable for everyone, Aeronest can be conveniently used on a daily basis at work, while shopping, on flights and public transport, in schools and universities, in hospitals, in cinemas, and in theaters.

“We are extremely pleased and proud to introduce our unique product that exemplifies technology in service of human health and wellbeing. Aeronest is innovation at its best, developed to help us breathe easy while keeping protected from contracting and spreading the Covid-19 virus”, said Eric Fouchard, President of NewPadMaker.

Commenting on the company’s participation at Gitex Future Stars 2021 in Dubai, Mr. Fouchard added, “Gitex Dubai is a major global technology event, which is key to showcasing our innovative product to the world. It will also give us the opportunity to meet with local and international potential partners and distributors in order to make Aeronest available to all worldwide.”

Following its Gitex participation and as part of the company’s efforts to showcase its innovative device in major tech events around the world, Aeronest will be also exhibited at the Concours Lepine Paris, 21st October – 1st November 2021.

LG Launches ‘Table-Type’ Air Purifier at IFA 2022

Published

on

LG Electronics (LG) is presenting its new air purifier, the PuriCare Objet Collection Aero Furniture, at IFA 2022. The follow-up to the acclaimed PuriCare AeroTower revealed at CES earlier this year, the new table-type model blurs the line between beautiful furniture and advanced air purifier, offering a design that can be tailored to meet individual preferences, 360-degree air purification, and user-friendly features.

Elegant and compact, the LG Aero Furniture has a relatively small size that makes it perfect for smaller spaces, such as a single bedroom, study, or studio, while users can choose the color of the unit’s base (Crème Rose, Crème Yellow to Crème Grey) and the shape of its table-top (Round or Track) to suit their personal tastes or match their home décor.

The smooth upper surface of LG’s innovative, the new product provides a useful place for storing household items or displaying decorative objects. It also integrates convenient controls on its underside for powering the device on/off, and for managing its airflow modes and mood lighting features. Subtly positioned near the edge of the table-top, and flush with its surface, is a series of small indicators denoting Wi-Fi connectivity, air quality, air flow strength and upgrade status.

What’s more, the new Aero Furniture presents an array of thoughtful features for a more personalized user experience. Users can conveniently charge their smartphones and wireless earbuds via the table-top’s built-in wireless charger and create a pleasing atmosphere with the mood lighting feature. Providing eight different colors to choose from, Aero Furniture’s mood lighting can be easily controlled using the LG ThinQ™ app. Furthermore, LG’s unique air purifier is designed with sustainability in mind, incorporating components fabricated from reusable plastic harvested from old appliances and electronics products, and shipping in packaging made from reusable materials.

Beyond its sophisticated design, LG’s new air purifier delivers customized comfort at home, with performance that can be tailored to suit any preference. The product greatly improves indoor air quality thanks to Aero Furniture’s multi-stage filtration, which combines LG’s Ultra-fine Filter, Dust Collector Filter, and Deodorization Filter. Users can also enjoy cleaner indoor air courtesy of LG’s UVnano technology, which reduces the presence of viruses and bacteria on and around Aero Furniture’s fan blades by up to 99.99 percent.

Additionally, LG will be launching limited-edition versions of its new air purifier in the near future. Along with models featuring exclusive table-top decorations designed by well-known artists, such as popular South Korean painter, Kim Sun-woo, the company will be releasing models made with newly developed sustainable materials.

“With its customizable design, advanced air purification, and user-centric features, the Aero Furniture helps consumers create a healthy, comfortable, and more personalized home,” said Lyu Jae-cheol, president of LG Electronics Home Appliance & Air Solution Company. “LG will continue to develop innovations for a healthier, better life by responding to the diverse needs of consumers worldwide.”

LG will be showcasing its latest innovations, including the new Aero Furniture, at its exhibition booth (Hall 18, Messe Berlin) at IFA 2022 in Berlin, Germany, from September 2-6.

Review of the LG PuriCare Wearable Air Purifier (2nd Gen) in the UAE

Published

on

The first generation of LG’s PuriCare Wearable Air Purifier was launched in the UAE a year ago and the company is now out with the second generation of the same device. While the first generation of the PuriCare Wearable Air Purifier was really good, it did have some nagging issues. These included muffled voice while trying to speak to people with the mask on, a bit of a clunky design, and being a bit heavy when wearing it for an extended period of time.

IMPROVEMENTS OVER GEN 1
LG seems to have solved the “muffled voice” issue this time around since the 2nd Gen wearable air purifier now features a voice amplification feature. The new 2nd Gen air purifier also is more comfortable to wear with a lightweight design. The new iteration of the LG PuriCare Wearable Air Purifier now comes packed with a fully automatic fan airflow control system that increases breathing comfort.

It also uses two H13 HEPA filters, the same as those found in premium air purifiers for the home, to ensure the air the user breathes is as clean as healthy as possible. And since the air purifier comes with a built-in microphone and external speaker employing VoiceON technology, you no longer have to pull down the mask or raise your voice to carry on a conversation. VoiceON technology automatically recognises when you are talking and amplifies your voice through the built-in speaker so listeners don’t have to strain or lean in to hear every word you speak.

While the LG PuriCare Wearable Air Purifier Gen 2 uses the same H13 HEPA Filters as the first generation (AP300AWFA), the Inner Covers and the washable Face Guard are different from the ones used in the first generation. The air purifier itself is available in two colours – Creamy White (AP551AWFA) and Ocean Black (AP551ABFA). The one we received for this review was the Creamy White variant.

INSIDE THE BOX
Inside the box, you get the LG PuriCare Wearable Air Purifier, two H13 Grade HEPA filters, one Face Guard, a pack of Inner Covers (15 pieces), and an Ear Strap. You also get a carry pouch, the warranty card, a user manual, a USB Type C cable for charging the air purifier, and a plastic pack that also doubles up as a stand while you charge the air purifier.

DESIGN
The second generation of the LG Wearable Air Filter has undergone a slight redesign. The replaceable cloth filter is now under the silicone seal instead of inside. The seal also uses more magnets to secure it in place, making it a lot easier to install since you can just snap it in place.

The dual HEPA filters are also installed from the back, leaving the front a smooth curve. Another positive change is that the straps are now adjustable — you simply pull to tighten. It’s also lighter — 94g versus the 126g of the first model. On the front, on both the left and right edges, you will find the ear straps. The bottom right corner is where the speaker is situated.

On the air purifier, there is also a Bluetooth indicator light, which turns on when paired with a Bluetooth device. There is a power button next to it, which when pressed for 2 seconds, starts and stops operation. To use the voice unit, you need to press the power button when the unit is turned on. To activate Bluetooth, you need to press the power button for seven seconds.

To turn the air purifier completely off, press the power button for 10 seconds. There is a battery indicator light built around the charging port which turns on when the unit is being charged and it also shows the battery level when the unit is being operated. If the battery level indicator is green, it means you have over 60% battery life. If the LED is orange, you have a battery life between 15% and 60%. And if the LED is red and blinking, it means the battery level is lower than 15% and the unit needs recharging.

APP FOR THE AIR PURIFIER
The LG PuriCare Wearable Air Purifier is Bluetooth enabled, which means you can also connect it to the LG PuriCare Wearable app, which is available for both iOS and Android devices.

Once connected, the app allows you to adjust VoiceON volume and airflow (Auto/Low/Medium/High), see respiratory data history and reports, manage filters duration and replacement cycle, check real-time battery information, turn the unit ON/OFF and perform firmware updates.

USE AND COMFORT LEVEL
LG says that the PuriCare Wearable Air Purifier is also the first mask on the market that features an auto-sanitizing and charging UV Case that helps maintain hygiene between uses.

The case, however, is sold separately and is equipped with UV-C lights that kill 99.9% of bacteria and harmful germs that may remain on the mask.

During our review period, we found the LG PuriCare Wearable Air Purifier to be very light and easy to use, throughout the day. Wearing comfort was better than Gen 1 and we did not find any difficulties speaking with the air purifier on. The device can be worn comfortably for up to 8 hours and it recharges the 1000mAh battery completely in about two hours.

Installing and replacing the inner cover and the HEPA filters is also quite intuitive. The app does offer a wide range of functionalities that makes using the LG PuriCare Wearable Air Purifier, a walk in the park.

Since the device comes with dual fans and a patented respiratory sensor, it allows you to take in clean and filtered air.

The Respiratory Sensor meanwhile detects the cycle and volume of your breath and adjusts the dual three-speed fans accordingly. The fans automatically speed up to assist air intake and slow down to reduce resistance when exhaling to make breathing effortless.

For a price of AED 799, LG PuriCare Wearable Air Purifier (Gen 2) is a fantastic improvement over its predecessor. The device is for you if you are looking for maximum convenience and comfort without compromising on style and clean air.

LG to Show Off New Air Purifier Tech at CES 2022

Published

on

LG Electronics’ (LG) all-in-one home air care solution designed to deliver the benefits of an air purifier, fan and heater in a stylish form factor is set to make its world debut at CES 2022. Developed from the ground up to meet the needs of today’s at-home lifestyle, the all-new PuriCare AeroTower Air Purifying Fan offers personalized comfort that makes any indoor activity more pleasant and comfortable.

LG PuriCare AeroTower is ideal for year-round use, delivering pure, clean air 360 degrees in one of three airflow modes: Heating Mode, Fan Mode, and Diffusion Mode. Use Heating Mode for a blast of warm air on a chilly day, up to 30 degrees Celsius maximum, capable of increasing the room air temperature by five degrees Celsius in less than 10 minutes. Fan Mode produces a refreshing breeze and provides customized comfort with 10 levels of airflow intensity. Diffusion Mode ensures optimal quality indoor air in any season, delivering clean, filtered air upward and outward through the Air Guard diffuser for wider, more powerful air circulation.

Employing LG’s own Air Valley technology, the air purifier creates a canyon of air that follows a given surface. Commonly known as the Coandă effect, this results in a consistent, comfortable breeze that can be felt throughout the room. The PuriCare AeroTower’s tapered, vertical vanes are whisper quiet, only emitting 23dB of wind noise and the sleek cylindrical design offers a modern aesthetic that matches well with any type of décor. LG’s newest PuriCare model will be available in two subtle and sophisticated colours, Beige and Silver.

LG PuriCare AeroTower comes certified by international testing agencies such as IBR Laboratories for improving indoor air quality. Multi-stage True HEPA Filters capture 99.97 percent of different types of particulates as small as 0.3 microns in size. An additional benefit comes in the form of LG UVnano technology which employs ultraviolet-C light to reduce the presence of bacteria that often collect on the fan.

Along with performance and style, LG’s newest air care solution delivers exceptional convenience for its attention to the user experience. Customers can quickly check a variety of air quality data on the purifier’s bright LCD display or on the free LG ThinQ mobile app. The Android and iOS app also allow for the device to be monitored in real-time and settings adjusted from outside the home.

“Our new PuriCare AeroTower Air Purifying Fan was designed with today’s home lifestyle trend in mind,” said Lyu Jae-cheol, president of LG’s Home Appliance & Air Solution Company. “Whether its cooling, heating, or purifying, this device does it all and looks great while doing it.”

To experience LG’s new PuriCare AeroTower, visit LG’s virtual exhibition booth at CES 2022 starting January 5 PST.
