Mattel and Milestone today released a trailer unveiling one of the most anticipated cars in the Hot Wheels Unleashed roster: the 1:64th scale replica of the legendary Cadillac Seville by Gucci. Starting today, all players that log into Hot Wheels Unleashed will find the new car in their Collection, free on all platforms. The die-cast vehicle was the result of a collaboration between the House and Hot Wheels, which recreated that paradigmatic expression of the late ‘70s flair and served as a testament to the Maison’s forward thinking that was the original car.
The recent Mattel Creations drop celebrating the House’s centennial was highly sought after by automotive enthusiasts and fashion aficionados alike, with the limited-edition die-ca`st vehicle selling out almost instantly. Hot Wheels Unleashed offers players the opportunity to drive the cars as if they were playing with the die-cast toys.
The gameplay includes adrenaline-filled races, an extended choice of Hot Wheels vehicles with different attributes and rarity levels that players can customize with different skins, and jaw-dropping tracks set in everyday-life locations with special track pieces and interactive items. The game also features a revolutionary Track Editor enabling players to customize tracks in any game environment and share them with the game’s community.
Hot Wheels Unleashed is available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One X, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC (Steam and Epic Games Store).
Milestone Releases the Batman Expansion for Hot Wheels Unleashed
The amazing post-launch plan for Hot Wheels Unleashed is moving forward. Milestone released the Batman Expansion, a brand new themed DLC with content coming from the DC Universe, dedicated in specific to the Dark Knight legacy. The Batman Expansion brings a huge amount of new playable content with a brand-new Career map to complete, inspired by Gotham, and a breathtaking new environment with many new tracks, the Batcave. The Expansion also includes 5 themed vehicles, The Penguin, Robin™ 2.0T, Armored Batman™, Batman™ Rebirth, The Joker™ GT, a new Track Builder Module, the Joker Funhouse Split, and many themed customization items. The Batman Expansion is included in the HOT WHEELS™ Pass Vol. 1 or can be purchased separately.

Patch 13.0.1 for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Confirmed to Include the ‘Final Fighter Adjustments’
Thanks to a certain in-game message, we recently reported that a new Super Smash Bros. Ultimate patch was en route. Additional information regarding this patch has now been released by Nintendo Versus, an official Twitter account for Nintendo.
“Ver. 13.0.1 of Super #SmashBrosUltimate is coming soon!” reads the Tweet. “This update includes the final fighter adjustments, meaning replay data from previous versions will be incompatible.”
The particularly interesting part of this statement that’s worth noting is the part about “the final fighter adjustments.” It was previously believed that version 13.0.0 (which was the patch that released Sora) would be the last patch for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate that contained balance adjustments. As such, it’s possible that we might be getting one last round of changes.
However, it’s worth noting that there have never been balancing adjustments for a version update that has that third digit (13.0.X) increasing. This usually indicates that there will only be bug fixes.
It’s probably best to keep expectations low as “the final fighter adjustments” could just be a few last-minute bug fixes. As of right now, we don’t yet have any information on what exactly will be changing in this upcoming update.
Nintendo Versus’ Tweet does confirm that certain replays will be affected by the update. If you want to save your replays, it’s best to convert them into a video before they become incompatible.
Xbox Halo Infinite Players Want Crossplay to be Switched Off to Avoid Cheaters on PC
With depressing predictability, a free-to-play competitive game comes out and complaints of rampant cheating roll in. In the case of Halo Infinite, which opened its multiplayer beta on November 15, some of those complaints come from players on the console asking for the option to disable crossplay to avoid the larger number of cheaters on PC. “Let me turn off cross-play until you guys can get an actual anti-cheat implemented,” writes @jcb_response, posting two videos of a player using a wallhack and an aimbot.
Similar recordings have been posted to Reddit along with similar demands for the option to opt-out of crossplay, and here’s one of a player who, when asked if he was cheating “said he had a controller mod”.
While it’s possible to choose whether you get matched with players using controllers or mouse and keyboard while playing solo or as a duo in Halo Infinite’s ranked arena mode, there’s no such option in quickplay or the current Fracture: Tenrai event. And of course, there’s nothing stopping a player on PC from using cheats with a controller plugged-in.
While it’s possible to install cheats on a console, it’s significantly harder than it is on a PC, where hacks like these proliferate. The Anti-Cheat Police Department Twitter account went looking for Halo Infinite cheat-sellers and found “about 12” already offering them. “For just $8, you can ruin everyone’s day.” Once again, on behalf of PC gaming, sorry about all those cheaters in your console games.
