Polestar 2 Launches in the UAE at a Price Starting at AED 161,900

Swedish electric performance car brand Polestar and Al-Futtaim Trading Enterprises, a division of Al-Futtaim Automotive, announced the opening of its bespoke ‘pop-up’ Polestar Space, located in the City Walk district of Dubai. The Space has been created as a hub for customers to connect with Polestar, get to grips behind the wheel and purchase the 100% electric Polestar 2. The opening of the ’pop-up’ Polestar Space comes after the recent launch of Polestar in the UAE by Al-Futtaim Trading Enterprises, where selected media, VIP dignitaries and government officials were invited to discover Polestar 2.

The temporary pop-up is located on the main boulevard in Building 10 of City Walk, and will operate seven days a week from 09:00 to 21:00. Polestar Specialists will be on hand to provide customers the opportunity to explore the impressive electric performance fastback for themselves.

Polestar 2 sets a new benchmark for the electric age, with an uncompromising, minimalistic, detail-oriented approach to design reflecting the brand’s Scandinavian roots: an elegant avant-garde exterior appearance, exquisite details such as the frameless door mirrors and the expansive panoramic roof which provides a light and airy cabin environment. The interior design is simple and uncluttered, utilises innovative and sustainable materials, and is available with a choice of either vegan WeaveTech upholstery or ventilated Nappa leather.

Polestar 2 was the first car in the world to feature an infotainment powered by Android Automotive OS with Google built-in, making life on the road easier, safer, and more intuitive. Many features of the car can be voice controlled with the native Google Assistant, allowing the driver to focus on driving safelyGoogle Maps has been optimised for use in an electric car, and will plot the most efficient route, taking battery level and available charging points into account. Additional apps can be downloaded from the Google Play Store, including favourites such as Spotify and YouTube Music.

Al-Futtaim is proud to partner with Polestar and demonstrate our commitment to the UAE’s sustainability objectives.” Polestar 2 currently comes in three distinct versions, each offering a mix of performance and range. In the UAE, Polestar 2 starts from AED 161,900 for the Standard range Single motor version, featuring one electric motor with 231 hp and 330 Nm of torque and a 69 kWh battery pack providing up to 444 km WLTP electric range.

The Long range Single motor version is priced from AED 200,900, and comes with a larger 78 kWh battery and up to 542 km WLTP electric range. The range-topping Long range Dual motor variant is priced from AED 210,900 and features all-wheel drive with a total output of 408 hp, 660 Nm of torque, and up to 482 km WLTP electric range from the 78 kWh battery. Exclusively on the Long range Dual motor variant, an optional Performance Pack is available, including adjustable Öhlins dampers, Brembo brakes, forged 20-inch alloy wheels and signature ‘Swedish gold’ details inside and out.

Across all variants, Polestar 2 makes a strong sustainability statement, releasing its first Life Cycle Assessment report in 2020 with full methodology and transparency. In the UAE, the arrival of Polestar 2 will actively contribute to the country’s sustainability and environmental goals, aligning with its Net-Zero By 2050 commitments as well as the Environment Vision 2030.

Changan Automobile is expanding on its more than 30 years of automotive excellence in the Middle East with its three major brands. To underscore how it is “Leading the Future”, today Changan is officially launching the CHANGAN UNI-S, which brings users high quality, fashion, and practicality. It is also showcasing its high-end emotional intelligent brand AVATR for the first time in the region, along with its young and innovative digital new energy brand, DEEPAL. With this, Changan Automobile is taking an important step forward to accelerate its localised operations in the Middle East, a key focus of its global brand strategy, where it now serves 400,000 users.

Demonstrating its customer-centric focus, Changan Automobile is accelerating its localisation efforts in the Middle East by preparing to establish regional subsidiaries and exploring a “dual-engine” strategy with integrated operations and regional dealerships. Kia Launches the EV5 in Morocco

Kia Middle East and Africa has announced the official regional launch of the Kia EV5, held in Rabat, Morocco. The event marked a significant milestone in Kia’s journey towards advancing sustainable mobility solutions in the region, witnessing the presence of over 100 media representatives and fleet companies from 9 markets across the region.

The launch event in Morocco underscored the country’s commitment to sustainable transportation solutions and its potential as a thriving market for electric vehicles (EVs). Attendees were given an exclusive test drive experience with the Kia EV5, a mid-size SUV that combines cutting-edge technology with an eco-friendly design, signalling a new era for Kia’s electric vehicle line-up.

Developed around three core pillars – robust SUV design, zero emissions coupled with superior performance, and spacious interiors. Its sturdy, boxy design stands out as the only true SUV EV model in its class, offering a unique blend of practicality and style. SooHang Chang, President, Regional HQ, Middle East & Africa, Kia, commented, “The successful launch of the Kia EV5 in Morocco is a testament to our dedication to becoming a Sustainable Mobility Solutions Provider. The Kia EV5 boasts key features, including zero emissions and high performance. With a powerful 310 hp engine, up to 550km on a single charge, and a fast-charging capability that reaches 80 per cent in just 27 minutes, the Kia EV5 showcases its potential to transform the driving experience for EV enthusiasts. The vehicle also features a spacious interior with numerous comfort and convenience features, including relaxation seats with massage functions, a bench-type front seat, a cooled and warmed trunk box, and a versatile rear table, marking a spacious and comfortable interior.

Built on Kia’s advanced platform, the Kia EV5 offers both 2WD and AWD configurations. It features two LFP battery options, 64.2 kWh and 88.1 kWh, delivering an estimated range of up to 550 km. The EV5’s impressive acceleration allows it to go from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.1 seconds. Additionally, the vehicle supports ultra-fast charging, allowing for a 30 per cent to 80 per cent charge in just 27 minutes, making it one of the most efficient and user-friendly electric SUVs on the market.

The newly launched vehicle is equipped with a comprehensive ADAS package, featuring advanced Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) 2.0, Remote Smart Parking Assist 2(RSPA2), 360° parking sensors and a double 12.3 panoramic display. It also offers the latest in safety and durability with its LFP battery and various interior and exterior colour options.

Al-Futtaim Toyota Launches Camry 2025 Edition

Al-Futtaim Toyota has introduced the ninth-generation Toyota Camry to the UAE market. This latest iteration of the popular sedan boasts a refined design, enhanced performance, and advanced technology.

The 2025 Camry features a sportier exterior with a distinctive front fascia and LED lighting. Inside, the cabin offers a modern and upscale atmosphere with high-quality materials. A range of interior configurations is available, including different seating options and ambient lighting.

The new Camry is available with two powertrain options:
