on

MSI’s new PRO MP271C is a curved monitor designed for productivity and comfort. The monitor has been designed for everyday computing tasks at home and office. The new MSI PRO MP271C curved monitor offers a display real estate of 27-inches. The radius of curvature is 1500R.

The panel offers a peak Full HD resolution of 1920-by-1080 pixels. You get a refresh rate of 75Hz and a response time of 4ms. You also get a peak brightness of 250 cd/m2 and a horizontal and vertical viewing angle of 178°.

The monitor also offers an aspect ratio of 16:9 and a contrast ratio of 4000:1. It also covers 94% of the sRGB colour space and 78% coverage of the DCI-P3 colour space, which is good even for those into content creation.

The MSI PRO MP271C also comes with an audio system with stereo speakers with a power of 1W each. There are HDMI 1.4b and D-Sub interfaces as well as a standard 3.5mm audio jack, as I/O ports. The stand of the display also allows you to adjust the angle of the screen. With the VESA mount, the panel can be hung on the wall.

Since the monitor also comes with Eye Care features and TUV certification, it offers a flicker-free viewing experience. You also get blue-light reduction tools that can further help reduce eye fatigue during extended use.

Assembling the display out of the box is very intuitive since the entire experience is toolless. You also get preset display modes that include Less Blue Light, Standard, Movie, FPS, and RTS. With MSI’s Display Kit, you can make your personal colour mode with your own preference. It helps you to set up those proper colour modes for you, including gaming, cinema, or eye saver mode.

The overall performance of the MSI PRO MP271C monitor was very good. Colours looked brilliant on the monitor and the overall contrast ratio was on point. Whether you are looking for a monitor for your online classes, working on productivity suites, coding, or even for content creation, the MSI PRO MP271C monitor is something you should definitely consider.

ASUS Republic of Gamers Launches ROG Swift 500Hz NVIDIA G-SYNC Esports Gaming Monitor with Reflex

Published

on

ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) today announced the ROG Swift 500Hz, the world’s first 500 Hz refresh-rate esports gaming monitor. The Swift 500Hz features a 24.1-inch FHD (1920 x 1080) display that utilizes Esports-TN panel (E-TN) technology to produce 60% shorter response times than standard TN LCD displays, making it the fastest LCD display ever. To create this ground-breaking gaming panel ROG collaborated with AU Optronics (AUO), leveraging its exclusive AmLED technology. This empowers precise control over brightness, contrast, colours, and refresh rate, all in real-time and based on displayed images — resulting in revolutionary performance.

The Swift 500Hz also includes NVIDIA G-SYNC, and the enhanced Esports Vibrance mode — specifically tuned for esports — built directly into the monitor firmware. It allows more light to travel through the LCD crystals, giving colors new levels of vibrancy. With latency a crucial factor in esports gaming, the Swift 500Hz also includes NVIDIA Reflex Analyzer, allowing gamers to measure latency with just a single click.

ASUS ROG has always pushed the boundaries of display technology. A decade ago, ASUS introduced the world’s first 144 Hz 1080p gaming monitor. In 2017, ROG introduced the first-ever NVIDIA G-SYNC 240 Hz gaming monitor. And in 2020, ROG unleashed the first 360 Hz gaming monitor.

“When we introduced the first 144 Hz monitor in 2012, people said the human eye can only perceive 60 frames per second,” explains Gavin Tsai, Display Product Manager for ASUS. “Then, when we introduced our 240 Hz monitor, they said the human can’t perceive the difference,” continues Tsai. “Today, in a market where 144 Hz and 240 Hz gaming monitors are common and standard specs, we are breaking entirely new ground with the incredibly fast ROG Swift 500Hz.”

With reduced motion blur, improved visuals, and lower input latency, the ROG Swift 500Hz is designed to give professional esports gamers an advantage in tournaments. One of these impressive features – the extraordinarily low latency – is made possible in part through a vital partnership with NVIDIA.  “The ROG Swift 500Hz with NVIDIA G-SYNC technology provides gamers the lowest latency available of any monitor on the market,” said Seth Schneider, Esports product manager at NVIDIA. “And with NVIDIA Reflex Analyzer on board, gamers can measure their latency with one click, ensuring the fastest response times for the most intense games.”

LG Ultragear Gaming Monitors to be Certified as VESA AdaptiveSync Display

Published

on

LG Electronics’ (LG) UltraGear gaming monitors (model 27GP850) are the first in the world to earn VESA AdaptiveSync Display certification, launched by the Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA). The new VESA AdaptiveSync Display logo helps consumers to easily identify and compare the variable refresh rate (VRR) performance of gaming displays supporting VESA’s Adaptive-Sync protocol before they buy.

To be certified as the VESA AdaptiveSync Display, LG’s elite gaming monitors had to meet the exhaustive and rigorous requirements of the VESA Adaptive-Sync Display Compliance Test Specification (Adaptive-Sync Display CTS), which uses more than 50 test criteria to establish clear benchmarks for assessing monitors’ and laptops’ VRR capabilities. With high refresh rates, fast Gray-to-Gray (GTG) response times and low latency, the UltraGear gaming monitor met or exceeded the test scores specified in VESA’s new open standard.

LG’s AdaptiveSync Display-certified monitors, LG UltraGear 27GP850, provide the level of visual performance needed for seamless gaming experiences. This model met required scores across VESA’s Adaptive-Sync Display CTS, including in several key measurements such as refresh rate, screen-flicker, and response time. The 27-inch gaming monitor features advanced LG Nano IPS panels offering high refresh rates and a 1 millisecond GTG response time, allowing fluid gaming play and sharp, clean images for both PC and console games.

“The VESA Adaptive-Sync Display CTS creates a clear, consistent standard for display performance of gaming monitors and helps consumers to make informed purchasing decisions,” said Jim Choate, compliance program manager at VESA. “World’s first products to wear the new AdaptiveSync Display logo, LG’s UltraGear gaming monitors performed remarkably well in all applicable tests.”

We are proud the LG UltraGear became the first-ever monitors to receive VESA AdaptiveSync Display certification” said Seo Young-jae, senior vice president and head of the IT business unit of LG Electronics Business Solutions Company. “With upcoming 2022 models including UltraGear 27GP95R, we will not only meet the high standards of VESA’s performance tests, but also satisfy the expectations and diverse needs of today’s consumers.”

LG UltraGear 27GP850 is available in the UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman and retails with a starting price of $600. It is available for order (in-store and online) in LG authorized retailers and hypermarkets. The model 27GP95R will be launched in July with a starting price of $980. Its key specifications include Nano IPS, 4K(3840X2160), 144Hz Refresh Rate, IPS 1ms (GTG), NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible, HDMI 2.1, AMD FreeSync Premium Pro.
