Published

on

Samsung Gulf Electronics’ 2022 TV lineup including its newest Neo QLED and Lifestyle TVs, The Freestyle and 2022 soundbars are all geared to give customers in the UAE the best viewing experience to date. With advancements in picture and sound quality, more screen size options, and customizable accessories, the brand’s highly praised 2022 lineup brings the vision of ‘Screens Everywhere, Screens for All’ closer to reality with life-like images, immersive sound, and hyper-personalized experiences.

“Our 2022 lineup is breaking down barriers of viewership, seamlessly bringing together the highest sensory experiences to all our customers. The highly immersive capabilities of the new products allow customers to showcase the ambient colors and sound of their choice as our smart devices were also designed to showcase it all: whether a painting, design or even as a party companion of choice,” said, Mustafa Sadick, Regional Director Head of Visual Display Group, Samsung Gulf Electronics. “This is an exciting time for us at Samsung as we make available the latest technologies for all of our customers, and I am delighted to be announcing their availability across the UAE.”

Thanks to the Neo Quantum Processor and the advancements in picture technology and sound it delivers, the 2022 Neo QLED provides some of the most pristine images and immersive soundscapes possible. The TV also features Real Depth Enhancer, a multi-intelligence picture quality algorithm. This technological advancement creates a greater sense of realism by determining and processing an object on the screen against its background to create a sense of depth.

Additionally, Samsung’s 2022 Neo QLED features EyeComfort mode, which automatically adjusts the screen’s brightness and tone based on a built-in light sensor and sunset/sunrise information. The TV features the new and intuitive Game Bar in Game Mode, allowing players to easily adjust the screen’s aspect ratio, check input lag, and connect wireless headsets, while gameplay is optimized through the Samsung AI processor.

Samsung’s 2022 Lifestyle screens seamlessly blend design and technology for a unique and personalized experience. A new Matte Display with anti-glare, anti-reflection and anti-fingerprint properties has been applied to The Frame, The Sero and The Serif, providing one of the most pleasant and comfortable viewing experiences. As a result, the new Matte Display on Samsung’s 2022 Lifestyle screens received three verifications from UL (Underwriter Laboratories) for being ‘Reflection Glare Free’, ‘Discomfort Glare Free’ and ‘Disability Glare Free’.

The Freestyle is Samsung’s all-new, one-of-a-kind projector geared towards ultimate versatility and flexibility. When it comes to portability, The Freestyle weighs only 830 grams allowing to change any space into a screen with ease. Unlike conventional, boxy projectors, the new projector’s versatile cradle allows rotation of up to 180 degrees, enabling users to show high-quality video anywhere – tables, floors, walls or even ceilings – no separate screen required.

When it’s not used as a projector to stream content, it also provides mood lighting effect thanks to its ambient mode and translucent lens cap. The Freestyle offers Smart TV features available on Samsung Smart TVs, with built-in streaming services and mirroring and casting features compatible with both Android and iOS mobile devices.

The 2022 soundbar lineup gets technology upgrades to provide even more immersive, three-dimensional audio experience. Q Symphony, the signature surround-sound experience that allows Samsung’s Neo QLEDs and soundbars to work together, has been improved with added synchrony. This enables the soundbar and TV speakers to work together with all the speakers on the TVs, including the top channel speakers, providing for an expansive, powerful soundscape. Samsung’s 2022 soundbars also come with Wireless Dolby Atmos connectivity, a wireless Smart TV-to-soundbar connection in which both the screen and soundbar speakers deliver an incredible audio experience with no distracting cables.

The 2022 Neo QLED, as well as the lifestyle TVs, The Freestyle and latest soundbars, can be availed through Samsung brand shops, Samsung.com, and select retailers across the UAE.

Apple Detects Spyware Targeting iPhones in Multiple Countries

Published

on

Apple has issued a second spyware attack warning to iPhone users in 98 countries, raising concerns about the growing threat to mobile security. This follows a similar alert in April targeting users in 92 countries.

While specific details about the latest attacks remain under wraps, the alert serves as a stark reminder of the evolving threat landscape. India is one confirmed country where users received the notification.

Spyware, a particularly invasive type of malware, can grant attackers complete access to an iPhone, including encrypted messages, audio, and video. The notorious Pegasus spyware from NSO Group is a well-known example.

“Apple detected that you are being targeted by a mercenary spyware attack that is trying to remotely compromise the iPhone associated with your Apple ID -xxx-,” Apple wrote in its new spyware alert.

Adding to the concern, researchers recently revealed the return of LightSpy, a “particularly dangerous” campaign capable of pinpointing a target’s location with “near-perfect accuracy.”

The worrying aspect of these attacks is their ability to exploit “zero-click” vulnerabilities, meaning infection can occur without any user interaction, such as opening a malicious link or attachment.

This highlights the importance of remaining vigilant and following Apple’s security recommendations, which may include updating your device to the latest iOS version.
