Review: ASUS ProArt Studiobook 16 OLED (H5600)

ASUS recently announced a slew of new laptops aimed at content creators, one of which is the new ProArt Sudiobook 16 OLED H5600. This laptop has been designed for those who demand the best of the best for jobs such as 3D rendering, 8K video editing, and even high-quality livestreaming. What makes this laptop special is that it comes with the ASUS Dial design and a touchpad that can support a stylus.
In addition, the ProArt Studiobook 16 OLED also comes with three physical buttons, allowing 3D creators to move and select or rotate 3D objects conveniently, even without using a mouse or a sketch pad. The Studiobook’s keyboard also adds a shortcut key and a Windows key which can be set to perform a wide range of functions through the ProArt Creator Hub.
Let’s talk about the ASUS Dial. You can press and hold the ASUS Dial to turn on the ProArt Creator Hub menu of tools and rotate it to adjust settings, making it easier and faster for you to create content while customising your workflow. The ASUS Dial works with popular professional-grade software such as Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Lightroom Classic, and After Effects. When you press the ASUS Dial, it displays the ASUS Dial menu suited to the related Adobe app, allowing for easy adjustment of commonly used functions such as zoom, brightness, and contrast via rotating dials.
The ProArt Creator Hub software, meanwhile, is designed for creators by ASUS. It now includes a new Control Setting page for setting the ASUS Dial menu. On this page, you can set shortcut functions in the ASUS Dial menu, as they apply to each Adobe app. The ASUS Dial menu allows you to add a single function, and it also supports group settings, allowing you to combine similar functions to a specified group.
The ProArt Studiobook 16 OLED also offers a 130-by-65mm touchpad with three functional buttons. This allows you to easily perform common operations such as object rotation, flipping, or 360° viewing in some 3D rendering software. The touchpad on the ProArt Studiobook 16 OLED also supports the ASUS stylus and other styluses with MPP 1.51 standard, allowing the touchpad to be used as a digitiser. The sensitivity of the touchpad fine tip has up to 1024 pressure levels, providing you with precise writing and drawing experience.
In terms of build quality and design, the Studiobook 16 OLED is extremely well built. The body of the laptop has been made using aluminum alloy to enhance durability, while it also comes with an anti-fingerprint coating. Even though it is feature-packed, the ProArt Studiobook 16 OLED weighs only 2.4-kgs and measures 19.6mm slim. What’s more, the laptop has also been tested to MIL-STD 810H standard, for durability.
Under the hood, the ProArt Studiobook 16 OLED runs on AMD’s Ryzen 9 5900HX processor. You also get up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 with 8GB GDDR6 VRAM. The processing power is coupled with 16GB of DDR4 memory and 1TB M.2 NVMe PCIe 3.0 Performance SSD storage. There’s also a 16-inch OLED display that offers an aspect ratio of 16:10 and a resolution of 3840-by-2400 pixels.
While you also get up to 550 nits of brightness, it also supports VESA DisplayHDR 500 True Black, 100% of DCI-P3 color gamut, is Pantone validated and offers an 85% screen-to-body ratio. On top of the display is where you will find the HD IR camera with webcam shield.
In terms of I/O ports, you get lots of options. This includes two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C, with both supporting data transfer, 100 W PD charging, and DisplayPort. You also get two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A, one HDMI 2.1 (supporting up to 8k 120 Hz or 10k 60 Hz), one SD Express 7.0 card reader that supports data transfers speeds of up to 985 Mbps, one 3.5 mm combo audio jack, and one Gigabit RJ45 LAN port.
The laptop also comes with an audio system certified by Harman Kardon. It also includes a premium ESS Sabre HiFi DAC with support for Hi-Res audio and four built-in microphones. The laptop is powered by a 90 Wh lithium-polymer battery, which ASUS claims offers up to 8.5 hours of battery life on a single charge. During our tests, we got around 7 hours of battery life on a single charge, which is brilliant considering this laptop is meant for content creators.
The ASUS ProArt Studiobook 16 OLED also offers a wide range of security features. This includes the implementation of TPM 2.0, the inclusion of a Power key with a fingerprint sensor, and a Kensington lock to help prevent physical theft of the laptop.
Overall performance was very good. In terms of benchmarks, the ProArt StudioBook 16 OLED put up a good show – it scored 6,270 and 8,171 in PCMark 10’s standard and extended runs, respectively. In Cinebench R20’s single- and multi-core render tests, the laptop delivered scores of 671 and 5,109 respectively while POV-Ray’s ray tracing benchmark took only 57 seconds to complete. The Blender Benchmark reported render times of 3 minutes, 42 seconds for the BMW scene, and 8 minutes, 49 seconds for the Classroom scene.
While there are lots of brands out there, that claim to produce “creator tools”, ASUS is one of the few that has actually delivered a laptop with features, such as the ASUS Dial and the ProArt Creator Hub, which will definitely appeal to content creators. The ASUS ProArt Studiobook 16 OLED (H5600) is not a laptop for everyone. However, if you are a content creator, it is the best AED 9,999 you will spend today, on a creator laptop.

AMD Intros Next-Gen RX 9060 XT at COMPUTEX 2025

Reporting from Taipei, Taiwan: AMD has officially revealed its latest midrange GPU, the Radeon RX 9060 XT, at COMPUTEX 2025, setting up a direct showdown with Nvidia’s RTX 5060 Ti. Built on 4nm RDNA 4 architecture, the new card brings notable upgrades, including 32 compute units, 64 AI accelerators, and 32 ray-tracing cores, positioning it as a strong competitor in the mainstream gaming market.
The RX 9060 XT will be available in 8GB and 16GB GDDR6 configurations, though Nvidia’s RTX 5060 Ti retains an edge in memory bandwidth thanks to its 28 Gb/s GDDR7 (delivering 448 GB/s vs. AMD’s ~322 GB/s on a 128-bit bus). Real-world performance comparisons will be crucial to determine how much this gap impacts gaming.
AMD has set the boost clock at up to 3.13 GHz, with an impressive 821 TOPS for AI workloads—a key focus in modern gaming and content creation. Power efficiency looks promising, with a TDP between 150W and 182W, while connectivity includes PCIe 5.0 x16, DisplayPort 2.1a, and HDMI 2.1b. Early indications suggest the RX 9060 XT will excel at 1080p gaming and handle 1440p smoothly, but 4K enthusiasts may still prefer the RX 9070 or 9070 XT for higher settings.
AMD has yet to announce pricing or a firm release date, leaving room for speculation on whether it can undercut Nvidia’s offering. With both GPUs shaping up to be closely matched, the final battle may come down to cost, driver optimization, and feature sets.

Editor’s Pick: HUAWEI WATCH 5 Series is the Best Smartwatch You Can Get in 2025

The HUAWEI WATCH Series is not updated every year. The WATCH 4 came out almost 2 years ago and the WATCH 3 is about 4 years old now. This is a rarity among smartwatch brands. But for consumers, this is a win. There is no constant pressure to upgrade every year and each new iteration of the WATCH Series comes out with more than some superficial glow-up. Naturally, when the HUAWEI WATCH 5 launched there was much excitement and pep.
Now, Huawei also has a WATCH GT Series that’s entirely separate from the HUAWEI WATCH Series. The WATCH GT 5 was debuted last year. Compared to the WATCH GT Series, though, the WATCH Series is more upscale with premium materials and even more advanced features. So, does the WATCH 5 Series justify the long wait? In more ways than one. It brings a brand-new sensor, a futuristic design, a revamped app ecosystem, and more.
X-TAP is a health revolution
The WATCH 5 Series makes big strides towards becoming a serious health management device. It draws inspiration from real medical devices and introduces a fingertip sensor called X-TAP. The HUAWEI X-TAP is a 12mm long glass sensor on the side of the watch body that redesigns smartwatch health management with the industry’s first all-in-one sensor. In cardiovascular health monitoring, the quality of physiological signals collected through fingertips is much more reliable, which can unlock more accurate, faster, and comprehensive health monitoring. The fingertips contain an abundance of blood vessels and a thinner skin surface, greatly reducing signal interference from skin pigmentation, hair, etc. You can check your SpO2 levels in under 10 seconds by placing your finger on the X-TAP sensor.
The watch also has the Health Glance feature, which is a smarter, more accurate and more attentive way to asses your health by analysing 11 bodily indicators and long-term health trends. Despite the comprehensive nature, it only takes Health Glance 60 seconds to generate a report.
For most users, raw health metrics don’t mean much. Much more important is the correlation between different monitoring results and, above all, what they mean. That’s why the WATCH 5 introduces Health Insights. It analyses the correlation between health indicators in sleep and heart health scenarios through visual cues and textual analyses, offering personalised health advice and smarter health management.
Futuristic design, tough build
The front of the watch has a prominent spherical design that incorporates a spherical sapphire glass screen, second only to diamond in hardness. The use of premium materials goes beyond sapphire. The HUAWEI WATCH 5 42mm, available in Beige and Sand Gold, features a 904L stainless steel casing—the same alloy used in luxury watches known for its exceptional corrosion and wear resistance. Meanwhile, the HUAWEI WATCH 5 46mm, available in Silver and Purple, uses Aerospace-grade Titanium material, which is 45% lighter than 904L stainless steel, 1.8 times stronger, and 1.5 times harder.
A finely crafted classic trapezoidal crown tops of the design. The new X-TAP button that sits on the side next to the crow blends into the overall visual language without drawing too much attention. Everything from the spherical watch face to the new retrofuturistic hues and high-end materials lends the watch a unique appeal that exudes precision and craftsmanship.
Apps and ecosystem
The HUAWEI WATCH 5 Series supports e-sim cellular calling, standalone navigation, onboard music streaming, and access to Huawei’s ecosystem of fitness and general apps. It can handle key tasks without needing your phone constantly in your pocket.
The watch also introduces new gesture controls designed for one-handed use. Users will now be able to tap and Double Slide with their fingers to instantly interact with their smartwatch. You can easily answer or hang up calls, switch music, and take photos by double tapping or swiping your fingers with one hand, greatly improving the efficiency of smartwatch usage.
Battery life that keeps giving
The battery life of Huawei watches has always been astonishing. Despite all the added features and even an extra sensor, Huawei has managed to keep it impressively long. In Standard Mode, HUAWEI WATCH 5 46mm can last for up to 4.5 under normal usage and 42mm edition can last up to 3 days on Standard Mode. The battery life can be extended with the Battery Saver Mode, allowing the watch to last up to 7 days on the 42mm edition and 11 days on the 46mm edition.
The HUAWEI WATCH 5 brings a whole host of new features to smartwatches while the rest of the industry has been largely in a trickle. And just like that, Huawei once again proves it is far ahead in health and well-being management. What’s more, the HUAWEI WATCH 5 works equally well with iOS and Android devices, making it a universal choice for everyone looking for a smartwatch in 2025.
