Republic of Gamers (ROG) has announced a new bundle promotion for the back-to-school season. Customers who buy a 2022 ROG laptop in over 25 participating countries across the EMEA region can get a School Set Promotion kit of accessories for free, and winners of social media contests will get digital gaming giveaways or an ASUS TUF Dash F15. For more information on the #DayOnewithROG campaign country list, please visit the official website here: https://www.dayonerog.com/

Computers have become more and more of a necessity in classrooms and lecture halls every year, requiring parents and students to shop for new laptops before the school year begins. ROG designed the #DayOnewithROG promotion to line up with this back-to-school shopping season and help customers learn how to buy the right laptop to give them a fresh start on day one.

ROG is also offering a promotional bundle of accessories for purchasing participating laptops through retailers across the East EMEA region, partnering with 24 influencers from Team ROG to spread the message. Just like students with different academic focuses, Team ROG represents a diverse community of people from different professional fields, bound together by their love for gaming.

“Latest technologies made a huge breakthrough in the computer industry – especially in the gaming laptop segment. We witnessed this during the last few years” said Jeff Lo, ASUS East EMEA General Manager Consumer PC/Gaming. “When I see more and more people using these amazing thin and powerful computers in their daily life it brings a lot of excitement and good feelings that helped to begin #DayOnewithROG promotion for students across the region!”

Every student has different needs and preferences when it comes to their computer. Some require processing power for content creation and STEM courses, while others hope to game without any lag—either during their free time or as part of an on-campus esports team. For students looking for a buying guide, ROG developed an algorithm that recommends one of our world-class laptops based on the student’s needs. Users can select up to three features from the tool, such as All Day Endurance, Content Creation, or Lightweight design, and get a 2022 gaming laptop recommended to them—complete with videos, specs, and a link to purchase.

ROG’s selection of reliable laptops is perfect for pupils in need of a new machine for school. Included in the promotion are nine ASUS gaming laptops powered by Intel processors: the ROG Strix SCAR 15, ROG Strix SCAR 17, ROG Strix SCAR 17 SE, ROG Zephyrus M16, ROG Flow Z13, ASUS TUF Dash F15 & ASUS TUF Gaming F15/F17.

When purchased through a participating retailer, customers who enter the promo code from the #DayOnewithROG web site will also receive the Team ROG School Set Promotion accessory bundle while supplies last. The bundle includes a backpack, notebook, mouse mat, pen, thermos jug, gamer sleeve, and t-shirt, and will be shipped after their order.

Students can also enter the #DayOnewithROG giveaway by sharing a comment on their local ROG social media accounts, tagging three friends in the comments and using the #DayOneWithROG hashtag. Winners will receive digital gaming giveaways (giveaways may vary by country) with/or an ASUS TUF Dash F15 gaming laptop. Users are eligible to enter until September 30th, 2022, and winners for each country will be announced at the beginning of October on local ROG social media accounts.

AMD Intros Next-Gen RX 9060 XT at COMPUTEX 2025

Published

on

Reporting from Taipei, Taiwan: AMD has officially revealed its latest midrange GPU, the Radeon RX 9060 XT, at COMPUTEX 2025, setting up a direct showdown with Nvidia’s RTX 5060 Ti. Built on 4nm RDNA 4 architecture, the new card brings notable upgrades, including 32 compute units, 64 AI accelerators, and 32 ray-tracing cores, positioning it as a strong competitor in the mainstream gaming market.

The RX 9060 XT will be available in 8GB and 16GB GDDR6 configurations, though Nvidia’s RTX 5060 Ti retains an edge in memory bandwidth thanks to its 28 Gb/s GDDR7 (delivering 448 GB/s vs. AMD’s ~322 GB/s on a 128-bit bus). Real-world performance comparisons will be crucial to determine how much this gap impacts gaming.

AMD has set the boost clock at up to 3.13 GHz, with an impressive 821 TOPS for AI workloads—a key focus in modern gaming and content creation. Power efficiency looks promising, with a TDP between 150W and 182W, while connectivity includes PCIe 5.0 x16, DisplayPort 2.1a, and HDMI 2.1b. Early indications suggest the RX 9060 XT will excel at 1080p gaming and handle 1440p smoothly, but 4K enthusiasts may still prefer the RX 9070 or 9070 XT for higher settings.

AMD has yet to announce pricing or a firm release date, leaving room for speculation on whether it can undercut Nvidia’s offering. With both GPUs shaping up to be closely matched, the final battle may come down to cost, driver optimization, and feature sets.
