CORSAIR Launches a Gamut of New Component Products for PC Builders

Published

on

CORSAIR has launched a slew of upgrades to a wide range of its most acclaimed PC components. With its best-performing RGB fan in the AF RGB ELITE, new liquid CPU cooler options in the iCUE ELITE CAPELLIX XT, ELITE LCD XT, and RGB ELITE Series, and new 4000D/5000D RGB AIRFLOW cases, CORSAIR is delivering stylish looks and upgraded performance in a large-scale coordinated launch to support enthusiasts building a brand-new performance PC or upgrading their system for the new year.

The AF RGB ELITE PWM fan takes the crown as CORSAIR’s highest-performing RGB fan, merging the fantastic airflow of the AF ELITE Series with eight brilliant individually addressable LEDs per fan. CORSAIR AirGuide technology concentrates airflow into a cone directed at your hottest components, with fan speeds reaching up to 2,100 RPM and 1,700 RPM for 120mm and 140mm, respectively. Fluid dynamic bearings ensure low-noise operation, with support for Zero RPM mode at low loads to eliminate fan noise altogether. AF RGB ELITE is available in multi-fan kits with an included iCUE Lighting Node CORE controller or single fan expansions.

iCUE ELITE CAPELLIX XT and ELITE LCD XT liquid CPU coolers incorporate these new AF RGB ELITE fans, as well as pre-applied CORSAIR XTM70 Extreme Performance Thermal Paste, to deliver even better cooling – perfect for the thermally demanding 13th Gen Intel Core and AMD Ryzen 7000 Series processors. The ELITE CAPELLIX XT features a new style with 33 ultra-bright CAPELLIX LEDs in the pump cap, while the ELITE LCD XT comes equipped with a vivid 2.1” IPS LCD screen that displays anything you like, from real-time temperatures to your favorite GIFs. Available in a wide range of radiator sizes from 240mm up to 420mm, with extended tubing length for easy installation, these coolers are ready for any modern system.

The new H60x and H100x RGB ELITE all-in-one coolers offer great cooling complete with one or two SP120 RGB ELITE AirGuide fans. Perfect for first-time builders, these coolers are also compatible with the latest Intel and AMD motherboard sockets and feature simple 5V ARGB motherboard lighting control for fast and easy installation and operation. The H60x and H100x RGB ELITE are also compatible with CORSAIR iCUE software when plugged into a CORSAIR iCUE controller (sold separately) if users wish to integrate their cooling into the iCUE software suite.

Finally, the 4000D RGB AIRFLOW and 5000D RGB AIRFLOW have joined the best-selling lineup of CORSAIR PC cases. These mid-tower ATX cases are renowned for their strong airflow potential thanks to a perforated steel front panel. New to these models is the inclusion of three AF120 RGB ELITE fans and an iCUE Lighting Node PRO controller for amazing lighting out of the box. Two additional 120mm fan mounts have also been added to the PSU shroud, for installing dedicated airflow directed at your high-powered GPU. The 4000D and 5000D RGB AIRFLOW are available in your choice of Black or the new True White color variation, featuring an all-white frame with white trim.

The CORSAIR AF120 RGB ELITE, AF140 RGB ELITE, iCUE ELITE CAPELLIX XT, iCUE ELITE LCD XT, H60x RGB ELITE, H100x RGB ELITE, 4000D RGB AIRFLOW, and 5000D RGB AIRFLOW are available immediately from the CORSAIR webstore and the CORSAIR worldwide network of authorized retailers and distributors. The AF120 RGB ELITE, AF140 RGB ELITE, iCUE ELITE CAPELLIX XT, iCUE ELITE LCD XT, H60x RGB ELITE, and H100x RGB ELITE are backed by a five-year warranty, alongside the CORSAIR worldwide customer service and technical support network. The CORSAIR 4000D RGB AIRFLOW and 5000D RGB AIRFLOW are backed by a two-year warranty.

Intel Unveils Budget-Friendly Arc B580 and B570 ‘Battlemage’ Graphics Cards

Published

on

Intel is gearing up to launch its next — and potentially final — lineup of desktop graphics cards in just 10 days. Announcing the budget-friendly Arc B580 at $249 and Arc B570 at $219, Intel has positioned these cards as the “best-in-class performance per dollar” in the GPU market. The B580 is set to ship on December 13th, while the B570 will follow on January 16th.

The new cards are built on Intel’s Xe2 “Battlemage” GPU architecture, the same technology found in Intel’s Lunar Lake laptop chips, but significantly enhanced for desktop performance. With more than double the graphics cores, up to 12GB of dedicated video memory, and up to 190W of power, the B580 boasts the capability to outperform Nvidia’s $299 RTX 4060 and AMD’s $269 RX 7600 in certain benchmarks, though it still faces stiff competition.

Intel’s benchmarks show the B580 running 10 percent faster on average than the RTX 4060 across various games at 1440p and ultra settings when paired with Intel’s high-end Core i9-14900K CPU. Titles like Cyberpunk 2077, Hogwarts Legacy, Returnal, and The Witcher 3 achieve an average of over 60fps with this setup, surpassing the RTX 4060’s performance. However, Nvidia’s card still leads in games such as Starfield, Gears 5, and certain Assassin’s Creed titles, demonstrating the competitive landscape of GPU performance.

Compared to the previous generation A750, which originally retailed for $289 but is now available for $180, the new B580 runs 24 percent faster on average. This performance boost is more evident in scenarios where memory constraints are an issue, thanks to the B580’s 12GB of video memory compared to the 4060’s 8GB. For instance, in Forza Motorsport, the Nvidia card outperforms the Intel one, 86fps to 77fps, but with ray tracing enabled, Intel’s B580 takes the lead with 64fps to 57fps.

Intel’s own Arc B580 Limited Edition card will feature two fans, and a single 8-pin power connector, and promises “whisper quiet” performance. Additionally, manufacturers such as Acer, ASRock, Gunnir, Sparkle, Maxsun, and Onix will produce their versions of the card.

In addition to the new hardware, Intel is rolling out upgrades to its XeSS technology. The new XeSS 2 will offer frame generation, significantly boosting frame rates by creating new frames between existing ones, and an Xe Low Latency mode aimed at eliminating the latency penalty of frame generation. This new technology will be integrated into various upcoming games, including F1 24, Marvel Rivals, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, and more.

Intel’s budget-friendly approach with the Arc B580 and B570 is a refreshing addition to the GPU market, providing more memory and bandwidth at competitive prices. However, the future of Intel’s discrete graphics cards remains uncertain, following recent comments from former CEO Pat Gelsinger. For now, Intel’s latest offerings are set to make a significant impact in the market as they roll out in the coming weeks.
