The ASUS ROG Swift OLED PG42UQ is a 41.5-inch 4K OLED gaming monitor from the ASUS ROG Swift gaming series. It features DisplayPort input, an adjustable refresh rate of up to 138Hz, a USB hub, and a tilt-adjustable stand.
It is also equipped with HDMI 2.1 and VRR support to enhance the gaming experience on PS5 and Xbox Series X by reducing screen tearing.
You also get a GTG response time of 0.1 ms, anti-glare micro-texture coating, custom heatsink, uniform brightness, and support for 98% DCI-P3 colours. The monitor is also G-SYNC compatible. The ROG PG42UQ is a big screen designed for gamers, featuring a sturdy tripod stand with metal feet. The back of the panel is black with ROG branding and it has a mounting slot for attaching accessories, such as a webcam.
The PG42UQ boasts outstanding construction quality. Its metal stand provides stable support and the feet have good traction to prevent slipping. While the stand tilts, it has a minimal side-to-side wobble. The bezels are firmly attached to the screen, and the plastic casing at the back has a premium look and feel.
To control the monitor’s settings, you can use the joystick located under the center branding that brings up the on-screen menu. In addition, the monitor also accompanies a remote control with all the necessary buttons.
Inside the box, along with the monitor you get a bunch of accessories, which include a remote control (with 2x AAA batteries), a DisplayPort cable, an HDMI cable, a USB-B to USB-A cable, the Power cable, an accessory bag, user manuals, documentation, and some stickers. The resolution on the monitor is rated at 3840-by-2160 pixels.
