HUAWEI Launches the MatePad SE 10.4″ Kids Edition in the UAE

Huawei announces the launch of the HUAWEI MatePad SE Kids Edition, a tablet specifically designed for children aged 3-8. The 10.4-inch Eye Comfort 2K display presents content in bright, vivid colour, with the high screen-body ratio delivering extra immersive viewing experience. Having obtained the TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light and Flicker Free Certifications and boasting 4096-level auto brightness adjustment, the tablet serves to protect children’s eyes. Better yet, five-eye care modes help cultivate healthy digital habits from a young age. Parental Assistant features, including Content management, Time management, and App management, guard the children against health harms, Internet addiction, and inappropriate and malicious content, and ensure that they adhere to screen time limits set by parents.
Kids Corner with its appealing UI design is chock-full of child-centric apps, including Baby Panda World and Azoome that are loaded with educational resources and come with free VIP memberships. HUAWEI MatePad SE Kids Edition offers everything a child could ever need in a device, including a food-grade silicone case and a stylus that is easy to grip by small hands, making it the ultimate companion tablet for children.
Kids Corner is a child-centric treasure chest that can be accessed from the ordinary main screen for adult use. Parents can use passwords to manage the switching in and out of Kids Corner. Aside from multi-layer eye care modes and parental control settings, Kids Corner is packed with a wealth of children-friendly apps with a playful interface. Kids Corner also features Kids painting, Recorder, and a Camera, among many other features. HUAWEI MatePad SE Kids Edition is a springboard for children’s creativity, giving them the chance to capture funny and interesting moments, sketch out their dreams, and record their creations.
Huawei has partnered with Baby Panda World and Azoomee, two premium educational apps for children, to provide a constant stream of enriching and educational content. The tablet comes with a free three-month VIP membership to Baby Panda World, which gives you access to exclusive, ad-free content. Baby Panda World houses over 100 interactive, intriguing games and puzzles to match the needs of children aged 1 to 7, covering six major fields of children’s cognitive development, including thought-provoking, society, science, health, habits, and arts. Baby Panda World is a product developed by a professional team that focuses on children’s education and is certified by senior teachers, making it a trustworthy digital assistant for parents.
The tablet also comes with a free one-year VIP membership to Azoomee, where children can enjoy a wide range of fun, educational content that has been carefully selected to ensure optimal safety and is subject to regular updates. It includes more than 200 games and over 500 hours of STEAM videos for kids, including action games, quizzes, puzzles, and creative activities, providing a fun platform for children to develop academic, logic, arts, speech, and more skills.
The HUAWEI MatePad SE Kids Edition features a 10.4-inch Eye Comfort 2K display with a screen-to-body ratio of up to 83% and 2000 x 1200 resolution, generating clear and colourful content that makes learning and leisure fun beyond belief. The HUAWEI MatePad SE Kids Edition uses the power of technology to protect children’s eyes from the hazards of digital viewing. The tablet’s Eye Comfort mode has obtained the TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light Certification and Flicker Free Certification, demonstrating itself to be effective at filtering out harmful blue light and preventing eye fatigue caused by flickers.
HUAWEI MatePad SE Kids Edition also comes with a 4096-level auto brightness adjustment that takes the ambient lighting conditions into account, which means that the screen brightness changes in accordance with the lighting environment. Thanks to the presence of an ambient light sensor and gyroscope, the tablet is packed with five eye care modes, which are a Blue light filter, Posture alerts, Brightness alerts, Bumpy road alerts, and eBook mode, which help children maintain healthy digital habits.
Children may easily get hooked on tablets, whether it is watching favourite cartoons or playing favourite games — and when done in excess, these activities can undermine their physical and mental growth. HUAWEI MatePad SE Kids Edition takes the need for wholesome digital habits into account — providing a range of parental control settings in Kids Corner that help ensure that kids are spending quality time on their tablets.
Comprehensive content, time, and app management settings allow parents to make certain apps, images and videos off-limits, ensuring that children only access age-appropriate content, and adhere to set screen time limits. This gives parents peace of mind while providing children with the space to pursue their passions. In addition, parents can view their child’s detailed usage records in the kid’s profile. This gives parents a good understanding of how their child is learning and growing, and intervene early if they detect any unhealthy habits.
The tablet comes with children-friendly accessories, including a protective case with a rotating handle, which doubles as a support stand, and a passive capacitive stylus. The kids’ case comes in green and features a yellow handle, providing an eye-catching contrast. The silicone material of the case has passed a rigorous battery of tests and complies with the LFGB and FDA standards for food-grade silicone contact materials, dispelling worries about usage safety.
HUAWEI MatePad SE Kids Edition can also serve as an ordinary tablet, as it switches seamlessly in and out of Kids Corner. This means that even when a child outgrows the features in Kids Corner, the tablet can continue to enrich their leisure and studies and provide all-around reliable companion that promotes their healthy development. The new HUAWEI MatePad SE 10.4″ Kids Edition will be available starting this week at a price of AED 649 across select retailers in the UAE.

Nothing Phone 3: Leaks Hint at Flagship Qualcomm Processor

After releasing two mid-range phones earlier this year, Nothing is now gearing up to launch a flagship model. The company’s CEO, Carl Pei, has already confirmed that the Nothing Phone 3 will launch in Q3 this year, costing around $1,000. However, Nothing has remained tight-lipped about other details. That changes today, as we finally have some information about the highly anticipated device.
According to a new leak, the Nothing Phone 3 is codenamed “Metroid” and has the model number A024. These details have previously been spotted in certification listings of an upcoming Nothing device in the GSM database and the Bureau of Indian Standards. Additionally, the leak (via Smartprix) suggests that the device could feature a flagship Snapdragon chipset, likely the Snapdragon 8 Elite, given Nothing’s ongoing partnership with Qualcomm.
Sources familiar with Nothing’s plans have reportedly said that the Nothing Phone 3 will sport a flagship-grade triple camera system, consisting of a large primary sensor and a better periscope zoom lens than the one on the Phone 3a Pro. The flagship device is also rumoured to pack a substantial battery, possibly larger than the 5,000mAh battery offered on other Nothing and CMF phones.
Based on the launch timeline Carl Pei shared last month, the Nothing Phone 3 is expected to hit the shelves sometime this July. However, even though the phone will likely hit the shelves after the stable Android 16 release, it’s expected to run Nothing OS 3.2 based on Android 15 at launch.
Reports suggest Nothing could offer the device at a cheaper price in the Indian market. Although Carl Pei has already confirmed that the Phone 3 will cost around $1,000, the device may be priced under $650 in India. The lower price could make the phone an instant hit in the region, especially since it’s expected to offer top-tier hardware.

Dual Driver Audio and Noise-free Clear Calls, HUAWEI FreeBuds 6 are Mid-range Earbuds with Premium Chops

Huawei is making a bold new statement with the FreeBuds 6. These open-fit earbuds promise a rich tapestry of notes and immersive bass with an open-fit design, all made possible thanks to an innovative dual-driver system. But what strikes the notes is not just the sound itself. The striking new design and the incredibly impressive call clarity launches these new earbuds to the top spot in the market.
Being the first open-fit earbuds to incorporate a dual-driver unit is no small accomplishment. Huawei has evidently grappled with the conundrum of fitting a sophisticated dual-driver architecture into a compact, lightweight form factor. The payoff is a remarkable, earbuds that are notably smaller than many conventional in-ear earbuds but sound unreal.
Their approach has been meticulous. It stacks high and low frequency dual-magnetic high-sensitivity driver units in a small space. The acoustic system is designed to work independently for a pure, distortion-free sound quality. Bolstering the low-end frequencies is a dedicated booming bass system powered by an 11mm dual-magnetic driver unit augmented by the new Bass Turbo 2.0 technology. The UHF planar diaphragm driver has a wider high-frequency range and can reach 48 kHz. Each unit operates in tandem, each focusing on its optimal frequency band to deliver a cohesive and high-definition acoustic experience.
Beyond music, Huawei has placed a strong emphasis on call quality, especially in challenging environments. The FreeBuds 6 introduce a Voice Pick-up Unit bone conduction microphone. This works to deliver highly accurate voice recognition, isolating your speech even amidst a cacophony. This allows for crystal-clear audio calling even with wind speeds up to 8m/s. So, whether you’re on a blustery commute, cycling through the city, or navigating a bustling airport terminal, both you and the person on the other end will be able to have clear communication without unwelcome interruptions. Adding a touch of convenient innovation, the FreeBuds 6 also support head movement interaction, allowing users to answer or reject calls by simply nodding or shaking their head.
One of the inherent trade-offs with open-fit earbuds is often a lack of noise isolation compared to their sealed in-ear counterparts. However, the FreeBuds 6 are capable of reducing external noise interference in everyday settings like offices, cafes, parks, and squares. This allows users to immerse themselves in music or focus fully on their calls, while balancing between situational awareness and focused listening.
The design of the HUAWEI FreeBuds 6 is both fashionable and functional, featuring a curved water droplet shape. This smooth, streamlined design is engineered for an ergonomic fit across a wide range of ear shapes. The stem’s thickness gradient ensures both smoothness and comfort, while the handle maintains the graceful droplet shape, making them unique and recognisable. Compared to previous editions, each FreeBuds 6 earbud stem is reportedly 9% lighter and 12% smaller, making them feel feather-light on the ears and suitable for all-day use.
Battery life is a crucial factor for any wireless earbuds. The HUAWEI FreeBuds 6 boast a superb all-day power capacity, offering up to a whopping 36 hours of music playback with the charging case. For those in a hurry, a quick 5-minute charge is said to provide 2.5 hours of music playback, easily enough to cover an intercity commute.
The FreeBuds 6 present a compelling package, particularly for those who prioritise comfort and call quality without wanting to be completely sealed off from their surroundings. The FreeBuds 6 provide a good middle ground for users who want to stay aware of their environment while still enjoying audio immersion.
