on

LG Electronics (LG) has announced the launch of its latest breakthrough in air purification technology, the LG PuriCare 360 Hit. According to the company, indoor air pollution is a growing concern in the Middle East, given high temperatures make people spend longer inside. “The LG PuriCare 360 Hit sets a new standard in air purification with its advanced Through Air Purification system, featuring the Total Allergy Care Filter, Deodorization Filter, and Ionizer. This multi-filtration system effectively eliminates 99.999% of 0.01 particles, bacteria, viruses, ultra-fine dust, allergens, and even harmful gases like NO₂ and SO₂. LG’s Ionizer system releases more than 9 million ions into the air to remove bacteria. With LG’s new Antibacterial/Anti-viral Filter, Total Dust Collection & Allergy Care Filter, and Harmful Gas Care Filter, you can breathe easy, knowing that your air is deeply cleansed. These filters are certified by KAF (Korea Asthma & Allergy Association) and CA (Korea Air Cleaning Association),” the company said.

With the windows closed for the majority of the time caused by high temperatures and humidity, increased usage of air conditioning will have aggravating factors of indoor air pollution. The innovative 360° Purification technology of LG PuriCare 360 Hit ensures that the air is purified from all directions. Unlike traditional air purifiers, the new purifier’s cylindrical body and performance-oriented flow path structure allow it to quickly and efficiently inhale and discharge air in a full 360-degree range. This unparalleled design not only ensures faster air purification, but also eliminates blind spots, leaving no corner untouched by its cleansing power.

LG ThinQ integration brings convenience to LG PuriCare 360 Hit Air Purifier. With Wi-Fi connectivity, users can easily manage their indoor air quality from anywhere and at any time. Whether you are on the go or returning home, you can conveniently monitor the current air quality through the mobile ThinQ app and activate the purifier remotely, ensuring a clean and fresh environment upon your arrival. Additionally, users can access air quality reports with daily, weekly, or monthly air quality history.

Review: HomePure Zayn Air Purifier

Published

on

The HomePure Zayn Air Purifier claims to remove 99.94% of viral particles from indoor air. The air purifier combines a prefilter and patented HPP+ Electrostatic Film to eliminate particles as small as 0.1 microns. The device also comes with an enhanced antiviral HPP+ filter cartridge. This antiviral mesh filter houses a tri-layer system that removes 99.94% of viruses.

Inside the box, you get the Zayn Air Purifier, the quick start guide, the warranty info, a plastic stand, and the power adapter with multiple plug options. The Zayn comes packed with Ultraviolet light and an Ultra-Plasma Ion Filter to kill airborne viruses and bacteria. There is also an Activated Carbon Filter, which eliminates unpleasant odours, gasses, and vapours.

The device also comes with built-in air quality sensors, an indicator to alert users when the filter needs changing, child-safe lock features, and a night mode that dims lights for worry-free sleep. In addition, the device is designed for easy maintenance – you can simply wipe it clean whenever you change the filter.

Setting up the device is quite simple. The top and bottom parts of the HomePure Zayn get magnetically attached. Once it is detached, you will be able to replace the HPP+ filter cartridge. The body of the device is made of plastic and you will find all the buttons to operate it on the top of the device.

These touch-sensitive buttons include ion, UV, fan speed level, child lock, night mode, and timer. There is also an HPP+ Filter Change Indicator on the top. In the center of the button panel is the power button.

The air purifier has been certified by the European Centre for Allergy Research Foundation (ECARF) and it covers an indoor area of up to 36 sqm. The company claims that the Zayn can reduce viral particles including the novel coronavirus. It should be noted that when used properly, air purifiers and HVAC filters can help reduce airborne contaminants including viruses in a building or small space. However, by itself, air cleaning or filtration is not enough to protect people from COVID-19.

Once the device is switched on, the LED indicator near the vents will light up in orange or green to indicate the quality of air in the surrounding. We were able to go from orange to green in about 1 hour of operating the device. While reviewing the device, we closed the windows of the room where Zayn was tested in.

For a price of $770, the HomePure Zayn is a good device, though there is no support for a smartphone app, like many air purifiers out there in the market. However, if you are in the market for an air purifier that comes with an ion filter, HPP+ filter, and a UV light built-in, you should definitely check out the HomePure Zayn.

Acerpure Debuts Eco-Conscious Air Purifier Made with PCR Materials

Published

on

Acerpure Inc. today announced the Acerpure Pro Vero Air Purifier, the first of its kind to incorporate post-consumer recycled (PCR) materials in the chassis, echoing its parent company Acer’s eco-conscious Vero line. Acerpure Inc. focuses on developing lifestyle and consumer products that utilize smart features to enhance the quality of life while also benefiting users’ environmental surroundings.

“Acerpure has always been committed to sustainability and innovation, and the launch of our Acerpure Pro Vero Air Purifier is a testament to that,” said Andrew Hou, Chairman of Acerpure Inc. “We’re proud to offer a product that not only keeps the air clean but also reduces waste and environmental impact with the use of recyclable materials such as PCR plastic and an energy-saving green mode. We believe that the Acerpure Pro Vero air purifier is a game-changer in the air quality industry, and we’re excited to share it with our customers.”

The Acerpure Pro Vero air purifier’s whole chassis is made with  35% PCR materials, which helps decrease 20% CO2 emissions during its production compared to using virgin plastic[1]. It also uses water-based ink and recyclable packaging to further minimize its carbon footprint. Featuring a space-saving exterior, a clean, matte white finish, and an intuitive LED touch panel, the Acerpure Pro Vero’s simple yet modern design language makes it a standout within any home or office setup.

The newest air purifier is equipped with a PM2.5 air quality sensor to detect suspended particles indoors and is capable of automatically switching to the appropriate operating mode in real-time. The device also notifies users of the current air quality through three different light indicators (green/yellow/red) and the “Green Mode” could efficiently self-adjust its purification power based on the surrounding conditions. Its DC motor allows for high performance with low energy consumption when in use and even on “Quiet Mode”, which operates with reduced noise and no lighting, allowing for improved sleeping conditions and air quality together.

The Acerpure Pro Vero comes with an advanced 3-in-1HEPA Filter, capable of isolating bacteria and 99.9% of suspended PM2.5 particles[2]  in the air. It also effectively filters out harmful gases and allergens through its 4-layer protection system. Tested by third-party laboratories, the activated carbon cotton-infused filter is further strengthened with an anti-formaldehyde coating to remove 99%[3] of formaldehyde and other harmful substances in the surrounding, keeping homes and indoor spaces always fresh and clean.

The Acerpure Pro Vero Air Purifier is currently available for purchase online and will be available in select retail stores. The Acerpure Pro Vero (AP353-10W) will be available in Taiwan starting in May and in other select markets in the Pan Asia Pacific and EMEA regions.

LG Launches ‘Table-Type’ Air Purifier at IFA 2022

Published

on

LG Electronics (LG) is presenting its new air purifier, the PuriCare Objet Collection Aero Furniture, at IFA 2022. The follow-up to the acclaimed PuriCare AeroTower revealed at CES earlier this year, the new table-type model blurs the line between beautiful furniture and advanced air purifier, offering a design that can be tailored to meet individual preferences, 360-degree air purification, and user-friendly features.

Elegant and compact, the LG Aero Furniture has a relatively small size that makes it perfect for smaller spaces, such as a single bedroom, study, or studio, while users can choose the color of the unit’s base (Crème Rose, Crème Yellow to Crème Grey) and the shape of its table-top (Round or Track) to suit their personal tastes or match their home décor.

The smooth upper surface of LG’s innovative, the new product provides a useful place for storing household items or displaying decorative objects. It also integrates convenient controls on its underside for powering the device on/off, and for managing its airflow modes and mood lighting features. Subtly positioned near the edge of the table-top, and flush with its surface, is a series of small indicators denoting Wi-Fi connectivity, air quality, air flow strength and upgrade status.

What’s more, the new Aero Furniture presents an array of thoughtful features for a more personalized user experience. Users can conveniently charge their smartphones and wireless earbuds via the table-top’s built-in wireless charger and create a pleasing atmosphere with the mood lighting feature. Providing eight different colors to choose from, Aero Furniture’s mood lighting can be easily controlled using the LG ThinQ™ app. Furthermore, LG’s unique air purifier is designed with sustainability in mind, incorporating components fabricated from reusable plastic harvested from old appliances and electronics products, and shipping in packaging made from reusable materials.

Beyond its sophisticated design, LG’s new air purifier delivers customized comfort at home, with performance that can be tailored to suit any preference. The product greatly improves indoor air quality thanks to Aero Furniture’s multi-stage filtration, which combines LG’s Ultra-fine Filter, Dust Collector Filter, and Deodorization Filter. Users can also enjoy cleaner indoor air courtesy of LG’s UVnano technology, which reduces the presence of viruses and bacteria on and around Aero Furniture’s fan blades by up to 99.99 percent.

Additionally, LG will be launching limited-edition versions of its new air purifier in the near future. Along with models featuring exclusive table-top decorations designed by well-known artists, such as popular South Korean painter, Kim Sun-woo, the company will be releasing models made with newly developed sustainable materials.

“With its customizable design, advanced air purification, and user-centric features, the Aero Furniture helps consumers create a healthy, comfortable, and more personalized home,” said Lyu Jae-cheol, president of LG Electronics Home Appliance & Air Solution Company. “LG will continue to develop innovations for a healthier, better life by responding to the diverse needs of consumers worldwide.”

LG will be showcasing its latest innovations, including the new Aero Furniture, at its exhibition booth (Hall 18, Messe Berlin) at IFA 2022 in Berlin, Germany, from September 2-6.
